I've been a MNK main since FF11.Anytime I hear "skill rework" or "job rework" I always just assume MNK will be included because it always has been lol. I'm just glad it looks like we're finally getting a ranged attack.

I think the removal of spineshatter dive is a good change. It felt superfluous. I'd rather have fewer jumping abilities that feel inpactful than more jumps that feel useless

I've always liked dragoon having lots of jumping abilities simply because its something that feels very unique to dragoon, and I especially want more abilities in general outside of 2 minute bursts. What would a jumping ability that feels impactful be like to you, as opposed to spineshatter for example which you feel was useless?

@@ClarissaEvergarden Impact as in damage. Hypothetically speaking I'd rather have 1 jump that does 1000 damage than 4 jumps that do 250. I remember when Shadowbringers first released, i was a little disappointed with the damage that Stardiver was doing. If they remove 2 jumping abilities, theoretically they can increase the potency of other abilities/Jumps. To be fair though, I don't raid, so this is a casual player's opinion

@@chabachoo4298 Ahhh okay I see what you mean. As it stands with the 2 minute meta, you hold as much as you can until those buffs, use everything, and then you're back to barely doing anything until the next 2 minutes, which makes for very boring gameplay outside of buff windows - which is why I would personally prefer multiple jumps with potency spread out, rather than just one or two that have higher potency. Plus, actual gameplay aside, I love dragoon animations. More jumps = more opportunities for cool animations :>

Honestly I'm optimistic and looking forward to the monk changes. I think a lot of people are overreacting over the changes. Mind you we don't know the EXACT meaning behind the changes. They could increase the duration of the buff/dots. Or they could buff everything to be along the same potency lines as what they are with buffs. So yeah we'll have to wait and see. What I can say is mo chakra less problems 😁😁! You love to see it!

The changes to me sounded like it will flow/play more like dragoon - which as much as I love and enjoy dragoon, I really liked how different monk felt. So here's to hoping it keeps that individuality 🙏

Hitting 2 positionals in one combo cycle(and it's back-to-back) is the reason why I tapped out from using Dragoon in higher end duties. Especially in Endwalker lots of savages and extremes has been mostly clock position and duo stack mechanics, making positional a pain to optimize in the middle of mechanics. This change kinda makes Dragoon feel more comfy to play and I like it.

No offense but being unable to hit two positionals back to back, and that being the reason you gave up on a job entirely, is flat out just a skill issue LMAO. Not only do you have two stacks of true north, but they also made it so that DRG has no positionals while under dragonsight. Monk used to hit two positionals back to back, samurai still does, and currently dragoon does and it has never been difficult at all. The only reason why I could see someone struggling with that is if you think that the rear positional is all the way directly on the butt of the boss, and the flank is all the way on the arrows on the sides. Even then, with a gcd of 2.4-2.5 on dragoon, that shouldn't be an issue. Simply practice and improve rather than blame the game 👍

Honestly if hitting 2 positional was too hard to optimize it says a lot more about you or your raid tank than anything. you get 20s of free positional with Dragon Sight and 2 charges of True North. its not really a job flaw more so an environment issue.
