do you have a touch to turn your character ? was wondering because sometimes you are running the other way your camera is facing and it would be usefull to me to know how, nice video btw :)

Thank you! I’m using legacy camera settings which allows free movement of your camera. It takes a little while to get used to but I feel it gives you more freedom to be more aware of mechanics!

What was your item level doing this? And I noticed you moved you camera a lot for the beams on tiles ? Is there a reason for that?
@Valith3 жыл бұрын
I was i530. For the camera movement, it was to keep your character outside while keeping GCD uptime if you're using the standard camera setting. I wasn't using the standard camera setting in this case because I was misled :

Thank you very much! I would say, learn and execute mechanics first and then only worry about damage later. Once you're comfortable with the mechanics, it will be easier for you to focus on your rotation. Of course practicing with the dummy will help a lot with your rotation as well! Hope that helps!

I wish I could get numbers like that. My highest rDPS for E9 is 21k. That’s a 76th percentile. I have a bad isp and I play on console so clipping is a big issue for me. I’m hoping when the PS5 version releases, it could help make things smoother and I’m praying it could reduce my clipping. I don’t even double weave anymore because of it.
@Valith3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, clipping is a huge issue in this game throughout. Keep in mind that rDPS is also depending on the group as a whole and the party comp so don't be too hard on yourself! I hope the upgrades will improve your experience!
@917Mike13 жыл бұрын
@@Valith thank you. I’m really looking forward to 5.5 to see the improvements. In terms of actual DPS, I’m doing pretty well. One thing I’m working on with my DNC and other members of my static is aligning our buffs up properly. Specifically Technical Step, Devilment, and Trick. We got it down for the most part. I’m sure once I clear 12 and get the body and weapon, the numbers will get better. I really appreciate your videos because I do learn a lot from watching experienced and skilled players. I pick up little tricks and tidbits that I can do. Like how you handle anti air and wide angle here to get a few extra GCDs in. I tried it in our clear this week and it worked like a charm.
@Valith3 жыл бұрын
@@917Mike1 Thanks again for the kind words. I'm glad the videos are useful! I'm also glad the anti air and wide angle tricks work for you! Aligning buffs are part and parcel of optimising so I'm glad that you and your group are actively doing it!

It’s to keep facing away while not losing uptime with your gcd if you are using standard camera. Does not work if you’re using legacy.

Why don't you kill the small clouds?
@Valith3 жыл бұрын
It was a speed run attempt and using our GCDs on the clouds would mean it's wasted on the boss. Keep in mind this gives the boss 4 damage up stacks which will have to be mitigated/discussed beforehand with your healers and tanks.
@domisito13 жыл бұрын
@@Valith Oh I see, the damage up stacks was the reason for the question, but as you say, you look like you have it planned beforehand. Thanks for the reply!
