As a Drg player I notice that no guide mentions that on your 2 min burst your Dragon's Sight and Battle Littany will come up in the Heaven's Thrust combo as Vorpal is coming up. Do not fall for the ABC rule finish your combo and burst off Disembowl. You will have a Wyrvenwind to dump in extra while insuring that Stardiver will be used in Littany's short timeframe after Heaven's Thrust. It might drift away from others raid buffs as most jobs hold a resource and are ready right when there buff comes up with drg your rotation dictates your burst. Try to pop all your cooldowns as they come up and feel how funky it is. Now wait for disembowl and try. It is your opener with a extra 3 ogcd's (Wyrvenwind, Nastrond and Stardiver) I blow off the wyvernwind with my Littany as the 2nd weave followed up with nastrond used after the Raiden's Thrust and finishing off by weaving in Lifesurge+Spineshatter dive for Heaven's Thrust to make sure I gap close into my biggest hit to Stardiver, Littany's effect will wear off just after stardiver and into the fang and claw. Hope this helps someone what was having a hard time squeezing 2 min buff as they roll up. It makes your rotation janky and you miss out on key abilities if you just full send it when they are up unless you have a great amount of skill speed that is also a no no.

Those combos can seem overwhelming, but in-game your Action/Ability icons highlight the next one you’re suppose to click on.

I really don't understand how macros work in this game. Does it need to have multiple lines of the same thing in order to work?? what does /merror off or even mean? none of it makes sense.

means mouse over, it will target who ever your mouse is hovering over in the party list or on the field. merror off simply makes it so if you try to use to macro when you cant that you dont get annoying error sound. the multiple lines is because macros can only be executed on frames from your monitor so having as many lines as possible will make it more likely to get used when you press it

Yea this rotation is aimed at level 90 so might not be optimal at lower levels

Hello so i understood the Opener part which im assuming is so that it gets all your BUFFS up and on cooldowns. Now the part I didn't understand was the ROTATION. Am I repeating GROUP A until my cooldowns are up again. If so once my cooldowns are up am i repeating my OPENER once more ?

Hi, sprout here. So the Dragon gauge is only accessible to you in Stormblood? I am level 77 Dragoon in heavensward and I finished the level 60 Job Quest and I still have no gauge. The in-game text says I need to access the stormblood and lvl70 job quest

It probably unlocks after that 70 job quest. If not then try asking for help in the drg channels in the balance discord server.

Was hoping for a more in depth guide of further into the rotation than just the opener. This is decent companion info to the balance guide, but doesn't seem anything additional? Like a 30 second, 1 minute, or 2 minute example would have been good

Why is Life Surge used for Fang and Claw instead of Heavens Thrust which has more potency?

It’s only used on fang in the opener to get it on cooldown earlier. All other uses you aim to use on Heavens. This is mentioned in the video.

Hello so after the opener we just cycle our buffs right? and then after that cycle we use life surge Geirskogul+ nastrond to take advantage of the lance surge buff right? And then after that until life surge+ dragon sight comes back on cd save the both life surges for the standard opener again right?

it has nothing to do with pentamelds. Maybe with a weird recast speed. Feel free to ask in the DRG channels in the balance discord for more help
