Finally! I’ve been waiting for female Hrothgar ever since the very first announcement about male Viera and female Hrothgar being included as the last playable races. It’s been a long wait. I won’t be changing my main character from midlander female Hyur since I pretty much struck perfection in character creator first time. But I will absolutely be creating an alt female Hrothgar. By the summer it will be a long time since I played through the old content and I could probably do with a refresher of the entire journey so far. I’m happy.

There head looks small compared to the body to me. Maybe it’s intentional but it feels a touch off. Reminds me of when I use to TRY to draw things but could never get the body proportions right. Aside from that, they look fantastic. The move nice as well from what I can see.

They look great despite not looking as buff/broad as I imagined. I play FemRoe and it's really tempting to switch or make an alt for this lol. I really like a lot of their hairstyles to. Wish I could use some of em on my FemRoe Ive heard some people be disappointed/complain that they added another buff race but like the whole point of adding new ones is to give more options and I think making another tall buff fem option is nice. Anyways, I just hope that after this now they can focus on adding more options to each already existing race. New faces, noses, mouths, etc. It would be nice though honestly I dunno the likelihood of them putting effort towards that.

I was excited to see how they were going to create the females. Im happy to say, they did an incredible job! As always! They have feminine faces without being over the top. The muscularity is a perfect balance and what I would think a female Hrothgar tribal character would look like. Unlike the Tauren females in wow. The female Hrothgar look amazing. The females walk upright. I wish the same for the males. Excited to see how they work into the story! TY Meoni!!

I've been dreaming of this day since Shadowbringers, and I am NOT disappointed. I'll miss my M!Hrothgar after making so many memories as him, but I'm excited to make even more memories as who she's always meant to be as a F!Hrothgar. Dawntrail can't come soon enough!

I think they look great. I'm especially glad that the face options seem to have such a breadth of... design. You have the actually more furry and snouty look, but then you also have a face that looks a little more like the Bless Online Pantera. I know some people will complain about that, but I actually appreciate the option there to choose.

A little less broad shouldered than I had hoped, but otherwise they are very good. I will not be a full time hroth, because I am way too attached to my duskwight man, but I am definitely playing around with this in the cc when we get our hands on the benchmark and will very much be using one of my (too many) fantasias to be one in between patches. I am so happy they made them, and the bunny boys, even after they had said they didn't want to make any more races

After staring at that mural art in Bozja and the piece in the artbook that made it look like they'd be "Miqo'te with kitty noses" I'm so glad we got actual buff lion ladies. There's really not a lot else I could want out of them. Maybe less dimorphism? Bring them closer to the males, like how the Charr in GW2 work (Females look pretty similar except for less gnarly snouts, shorter horns, and fluffier tails). I'm really excited to play with the customization in the benchmark.

I'm not into fur characters but I always liked how ANet designed the female Charr in GW2: the same hulking, strong frame as their male counterparts but slender with larger eyes, smaller fangs and overall softer features. I think with these Hroth girls SE hit it: they look like they should look. Feline like the males, with fur and claws and tail, but not quite as "beastial". The perfect mix of kitty cuteness and "you better dont mess with me, buddy"-attitude :D

I noticed the new hroth ally and the ones shown in the trailer both have claws even though they're wearing different gloves. I hope the graphics update means both male and female hroths will have claws by default instead of only when wearing specific gloves

I want them to be a bit beefier-the artwork they showed off is exactly the impression I want, and in-game they don't scream "muscular" to me-but I am pretty satisfied with the way they look. Their starting gear is also great.

That was my biggest worry, but it has been allayed. It's the perfect blend. They have muscle, but not too much to be obnoxious. They're feminine, but not to an exaggerated degree. The toned, yet svelte look suits them perfectly.

Their faces are a tad uncanny to me since I'm so used to the facial hair on male hrothgar, but that's really small potatoes compared to how overjoyed I am with the design overall. Plus seeing something in a youtube video is very different from in-game, so I'm sure I'll get over it quick lol

Im all about femroes and thighlanders, and I'm super excited about femgars! I'm going to enjoy the entirety of msq once again with her! Can''t wait for a scrappy lady to contrast my classy female roegadyns and spunky female highlanders. The current toon Im working on is a completionist (doing every single darn story once it becomes available including all the job quests). So I imagine my femgar will just be an MSQ focused toon but perhaps not! (Ive basically made the same 2 toons since 2.0) Im not a cutsie girly woman IRL but rather a strong woman who was country born and raised. While I do appreciate all the cute people and characters I see, each time I attempt to try their looks (in game and IRL), it doesnt feel right. Another thing that doesn't feel right is the stereotype where in order to be a strong woman, you must be offensive towards men or some brooding emo lady. XIV is a great game because of diversity in not only activities, but also in making your own identity. I like my strong women who can figure out their own problems through skill and friendship both.

I like everything about them except I can't help but feel there's something a bit uncanny about their mouths. Not quite a muzzle like the male Hrothgar but not quite a human mouth/jaw. That's my only not pick I may well end up switching to one.

I was SO excited for F!Hrothgar but knew there was a good chance I would be disappointed by their design, which... I really wanted them to be beefier than they are, and those heads are so uncanny! Way too round, soft, unproportionally small seeming, and not a snoot so be seen. Will try it out but pretty sure my hroth will be staying as is :(

I'm glad they chose to cover a different demographic with the Hrothgals since we already have 3 different flavors of Miqo'te and didn't need a 4th one. If my guess is correct from what I can compare it seems like they should be on very equal footing as the males with height which is nice since this lets the Femroes stay the tallest but gives another tall muscular female race. So far I like what I've seen but I can't be 100% sure if I want to day 1 fantasia until I get my hands on the benchmark (Little disappointed no date on that but I understand not wanting Yoshi-P to have another breakdown like he did for the delay of EW). But as it stands right now I'm probably 85% thinking of day 1 fantasia to a Hrothgal and the 15% not would be if the options don't either A) appeal to me like I thought they would or B) the options are way too limited just like day 1 launch of Male Hrothgar. I hope since they have had time with the males to iron out the bugs that the Hrothgals will go a bit smoother with the hairstyle options. I will be happy if they are able to get the Hrothgals to start with the 8 starting hairstyles for the race and hopefully don't have the same issue that the males had when they were created due to head shape issues and were limited to two per face, mostly so there is at least some variation at launch. At the same time there could be issues under the hood that I can't see and if that's the issue I understand if they have to do the two per face like they had to do with the males. Here's hoping for the best but keeping prepared for the worst case scenario.

I was kinda hopeful that much like Hyur, there would be a difference similar to Midlander and Highlander, with one being female ronsoe, and the other being the miquote like race from FF11, Mithra. But this is cool tho, I'm still holding out hope for a smaller slightly less buff version similar to the concept art for the Hrothgar Queen / Mithras from FF11. Especially since their specific wording during the fanfest only makes mention of one potential group, thus leaving the possibility for Mithra-like body type.

I'm glad so many are pleased how the hrothgirls turned out, but i think i'll pass on them personally. I would have loved to see something more beastly like their male counterparts tbh, but knew we'd just get "human w/ fur + cat mask" 😶 I think what bothers me most is how tiny their heads look??
