Fisher Retainers are absolutely worth leveling. I have made over 6mil gil in just minions that my Fishing retainer has brought back over the last year. They are also the minion that brings me the least amount of "crystals" and "Roofs"

As a fellow Chaos resident, my general benchmark for market value is around 10k per tome. You can get by Byakko's double stack with a 30%, or rampart right before the first (need around 20s) + shield CD before the second (if you're geared up enough of course, though I think ~640 should be enough)

For ANY debuff that is applied on hit, if you can block the damage you block the debuff, so any class that can heavily over shield can solo Byakko. WAR can solo Overshield at 90 so they are VERY safe for that farm.

The round lanner always takes like 3-4 minutes per run due to the adds phase, so I'd always say buy even if you have a team ready to do it. It just sucks.

not sure why you wouldnt just farm out the round lanner. The fight is a bit tedious but it is not difficult with any level 90 job, even with just EW job gear. Love the rest of the video, thanks for all the info!

I was able to survive Jade Stoa solo on blue mage using Diamondback when he grabs. It wasn’t fun and took lots of practice (for me at least). Not farming it solo myself but it’s possible

Blue Mage can use gobskin to block the damage from byakko and not get the debuff.

Question. So I recently started Shadowbringers and I've been triple triad hunting since I was in ARR. I'm currently at 240 cards or so but at the moogle rewards, the innocence and 9s card aren't listed for me. Is this because I currently have not unlocked the duties that the cards are from?

stackable treasure maps for events but not outside of it just makes me mad. if its possible why is it not a thing by default. why does my retainer have to be stacked with treasure maps for a million just so i dont have to mail them xD

it's to incentivize playing the game in bursts rather than dumping 20 maps in 1 day, if you're a constant player, it's worthwhile to have a gatherer max level to gather your own maps and sell them / use them with a map group, Gazelle maps have been skyrocketing in price because of StB Free trial stacking maps would incentivize selling more, and it's not super fun to buy 50 maps at a high price because they're in demand and get less than a 50% return ( which will happen with most maps, even an Ophio has a right off the bat 50% chance to just give you just under 11k and some crafting mats, usually less, and that's at the higher end of gil drops for maps ) Mogtome events are meant to drive up playerbase activity, so they need things that everyone wants or needs, so they put in minions, music, mounts and all sorts of collectables.

Please dont do southern front to level from 80-90 thats for levels 71-80 . when the new jobs come do Eureka Orthos to get to 90 thats why it came out it will be popular again once the jobs are released.

Honestly nothing is a necessity. If you saw a mount or minion you wanted go for that. If you want some Gil, just grab some of the stuff to sell later. Could also stock pile the maps to do when you finally hit 90 which will also give you some Gil and other items.

Jade Stoa Ex can also be solo by SCH using the recitation + adloquium shield for the back-to-back stack at Lv.90. If you search "jade stoa extreme SCH solo”, there should be at least 2 videos for successful solo run. One of them was by me but I am not sure if it is appropriate to link it (conflict of interest).

As a sub player, most of the rewards are not worth the tomestones but for a free trial player, it's a pretty good deal for lack of access to MB, PVP, PF, or the rewards outside of free trial content reach (gabriel mount for ex) for them is a pretty good deal

It's cuz TT cards are an indirect way of showing you're a completionist of the game's content. That being said, you really should be doing all the side quests anyways as it's quite a bit of content.

As an owner of the card mount (all TT cards 1-312 achievement), it's definitely worth it. This was one of the last cards I got. The alliance raid queues can be super long esp. for the 80 raids, sometimes over an hour even on a populous server. Of the cards on offer, I would definitely second the recommendation to pick this one up!

These events always only have stuff that you can get from other means in game. Tbh the more stuff you already have the better cuz that means you don't have to stress about farming tomes and can just stock up on maps.
