The reason this is everyone's turning point for ARR is because Garuda shows up like a savage on a completely different level than every other primal in ARR in an actual story event and the first part of her theme after all that build up is "NOW fall." Hearing that for the first time is like being slapped in the face because you've put like 50+ hours into the game at that point if you weren't rushing and Garuda has the audacity to believe that she is going to be the thing that finally kills you. Made me want to kill her more than anything else in the game at that point lmao

I had the same but backwards! I did play the OG Theatrhythm back in high school though. But wasn't sold on Curtain Call until I heard it had FFXIV tunes in it. Bought it immediately. And thanks to 14 I've been exposed to more FF music that I also play in Curtain Call lol

Wanting to hear this song in-game was what got me through a lot of ARR's story. Shiva did that for most of Heavensward, then Brute Justice for the interlude, then various others I can't remember, then A Long Fall. This soundtrack is basically the main reason I've been paying for this game for ages.

Doing this on EX for the first time was hell. Neither tank knew what to do, no DPS knew to dodge the wavebeam AoE, and the healers weren't being listened to. One of the healers ragequit after our 3rd wipe and we spent 10 mins waiting for another, only to abandon the duty.

Garuda is like the Lucifer of the Final Fantasy world. Think about it, she's extraordinarily beautiful compared to most of the Primals, and yet she's the wickedest of them all. Also, take a good look at the design of her head at 0:52, look familiar? Garuda is also one of the three strongest because she controls the wind. The wind can shift the tides, erode the mountains, give life to fire, and change the course of storms and snow. The other two strongest are Odin and Bahamut (don't know if they will release Eden in this game).
