not correct. "Persistence" plays while fighting the Decaying Gourmand and Arioch; as with other major voidsent, "Wrath of the Eikons" plays during the battle with Diabolos.

I know I’m really late, but I feel like this captures the description of the dungeon more than the Hard theme. “The city of Amdapor lived in splendor, and died in agony...” The beginning cutscene shows spores spewing mold, telling you how old the place really is. As it pans out to view buildings on the way up, the music accompanied the feeling that this used to once be a bustling nation: But now, it is but an empty shell.

I just finished this dungeon for the first time. It is, so far, my favorite of this game. It's the first time FFXIV really gave me the 'Final Fantasy' feeling. It really felt like something out of IV-IX.

So, fun fact; You remember how there was a frickin BLACK CHOCOBO in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind? Just like, straight-up? It's beak was a little bigger, but it was absolutely undeniably a chocobo. I don't think they ever named it in the film, but still. Thing is -- Nausicaä came out before the first appearance of a chocobo in a Final Fantasy game (which was FFII). I'm not 100% sure if my source was solid, but I'm pretty sure one of the original staff members on FFII confirmed that Nausicaä was a huge inspiration to the Final Fantasy series. Kind of awkwardly admitting, "yeah, we totally ripped off that design" LMAO

Lorebook says that the city was a damage leftover from the Fifth Umbral Era, where the Mhachi and Amdapori kept on drawing Aether from the air to wage war, the imbalance of Aether caused by overuse of magic caused these fungi and bugs to thrive.

This place reminded me of toad town in mario and luigi partners in time (for those who didnt know toad town was attacked by alien fungus and they made it looks like the lost city of amdapor, full of mold, purple mushroom and ruins)
