God, when that giant hand started swatting sin eaters out of the sky I was reminded I was playing a Final Fantasy game. They really outdid themselves this time

That was easily the best part of that dungeon, this giant golem hand swatting away enemies like flies.

The game has honestly gone very much back to its roots with this xpac. The Giant of Bab-il vibes I got off the golem, the sheer absurdity of running up it while it helps you swat monsters on a flying volcano that's turning into a glowing holy temple for an evil cherub with delusions of grandeur. It was like I was playing a Square title on the SNES again just with better graphics.

0:38 During the cutscene when the giant Talos is forming, any else got goosebumps or that feeling where your spirits are being lifted up so high? And when this particular melody got an octave higher, that feeling gets higher too. It is absolutely amazing how a particular scene with the perfect musical accompaniment can affect your feelings so much.

This dungeon and track imo were pivotal to the story from a pacing standpoint. This is like a “victory lap”. We are about to kill the big baddie, only to have what happens after this to be so shocking.

There's always time for them to add a Mt. Gulg (Hard) in a future patch or expansion that has us actually going inside the thing. Too much of a missed opportunity to not include a remastered Mt. Gulg theme someday.

I just started playing FFXIV Online a few months ago, and got to this part of the game last night. Watching the talos pull a MOUNTAIN out of the sky and then getting to fight for the world the whole way up to this theme was e x h i l i r a t i n g

This is one of the best songs in this whole expansion. I play game soundtracks while driving, and hearing this come on while I approach a big complicated freeway interchange really makes me appreciate how massive and impressive of a thing it is. Like it's going to come to life and start writhing around like some kind of monster out of legend. Really changes your perspective on the big things around you.

Kholusia and Ahm Aerang are my favorite zones in this expac so far and seeing the Kholusia theme as soemthing heroic is absolutely amazing. This whole dungeon was a trip, and using Torn from the Heavens for the bosses inb between just added to the hype!

I swear Soken went full Shimomura for this track. He seemed to take a lot of inspiration from other composers and added that trademark Soken style to them this expansion and it's absolutely amazing

I can't help but wonder if the lion boss is Vauthry's father, and the final boss of this is his mother. You see them behind him in earlier cutscenes, and it makes sense as to why, out of all the sin eaters, they're considered close to Vauthry.

0:39 it's pure heroic greatness, this section shrinks my heart because i feel very connected to my warrior of light and everything we've been thru. His story it's so incredible and in this point of Shb more than ever you feel like the true savior of the world... i just love it. This is one of the little things why I'll always gonna be a Final Fantasy fan, the music, the characters, the very world itself, it doesn't matter if it is in a medieval world, a distopían dying planet or a floating continent, every iteration of the franchise has heart, and that means a lot to me as a player.

off tank stance is gone, tank stance has NO detriments other than enimty gain and its been discussed in the meta that its better that you leave it on less mechanics center around two tanks aggro being 1 and 2 respectively. SO yeah... the scrappy tank stance finally got accepted by the meta... who would have thought XD

It's the hand of a giant golem, built by most of the allies you make over the course of the expansion, to be a bridge that you can cross in order to get to a floating volcano to kill the leader of the sin eaters, that is on located at said floating volcano.

Mt. Gulg is flying and we can’t reach where Vauthrys is hiding out there. So we build an absolutely massive Talos (Golem) to grab the mountain and assist us in climbing.
