How is it underrated? There are far better ones. Don't confuse underrated with unappreciated!

I'm eating beans and listening to this! It might not be as noble, but it costs tens of thousands of dollars less. Man, this is some good music, and some sweet beans!

There is so much melancholia in the song. And that's suprising. Both Ala Mhigo and Doma suffered so much over the course of 2 decades but I never had that feeling in one of the Far Eastern Songs.
@jessepinkman61132 жыл бұрын
I think the reason for that is because they wanted to balance out the joy and sorrow in the soundtrack and they seemed to think making the Far East have happy area themes was the way to do that. But in a way, it sort of makes sense when you consider the history of these two nations. In Doma, the objective was simple: bring back Lord Hien and he will restore Doma to its former glory, the rest will follow. There's a clear path, and Doma can easily govern itself in the wake of the Empire's absence. In Ala Mhigo, however... No one alive even knew what a "freed" Ala Mhigo looks like until Zenos fell. Long before the Empire came, a corruption existed in all rulers of Ala Mhigo. In fact, an Ala Mhigan says later that they preferred Gaius over the king they had before him, even if he was still imperial and worth revolting against.

@@jessepinkman6113 Yeah Theodoric was an even worse tyrant than their imperial subjugators were. The problem tho was the schism between the people, especially those that embraced imperial rule as opposed to the "true" Ala Mhigans. You can see that in Fordola's childhood. Her family being murdered in open daylight just because they chose an easier path for themselves. Ala Mhigo's history is one of bloodshed and tragedy, but with the bull at its head it will finally go the right way. He will turn Ala Mhigo to the light.

A celebration of how every piece of FFXIV may not be pivotal, but the music is. Such beauty, it was absolutely their intention.

The main difference I've noticed between FF XI music and FF XIV music is XIV's is much quicker and up beat. If you want to hear what this would probably sound like in XI, play it at .75 speed IMO.
