FFXIV PVP Machinist The Power House Solo Experience

In todays I continue the Solo Experience series this time on the Seal Rock sporting the one and only Machinist, a roll with explosive burst damage racking up 13 kills and 1.3 million damage.

I love these videos where you explain what you're doing. They have helped a ton with pvp. I can consistently hit Battle High 4/5 in most matches now, no more constantly dying to DRKs xD.

@@salamanderYT It went very well, even got a person hating on me, I didn't think it was so easy to insta gib people with him, I usually only play BRD in frontlines so when I saw this and your MCH guides I tried it out and again, it went very well, gave some confidence to try ranked again.

Thanks for the vid! Very helpful for seeing the mindset not only as a mch but frontlines in general. One question though, I see that you have both a macro for analysis and bishop, and I'm assuming bishop is just a ground target macro, what is the analysis macro used for?

Glad you enjoyed :D And yes the Bishop one is to throw the Turret right at my targets feet saves time manually placing, And the other was part off a older Macro video designed for newer players who might forget to use Analysis before Drill which then they can obviously use there Limit break

The machinists' ability to confirm kills is so incredibly satisfying

It is indeed plus the reach that Limit break hits even if the target flees once locked on there aint no escape XD

I'm new to pvp and rolling with MCH but on average i only end up with about 2 kills and maybe 15 assists. My targeting needs work and the moment I get into a fight I lose track of the map. The next thing I know i'm the only friendly blip in a sea of enemies.

Couple off tricks you can do with targeting is in settings theres one for target closest enemy which you can use to your advantage, I also turn my camera and play model towards my intended target and most off the time it selects correctly without the need to shuffle through. And for more kills you tend to want to aim a power burst attack after a targets 25-50% hp with alleys attacking there is a good chance you will claim the kill and gain some easy battle high :D

positioning is key but so is map size, the most important timp I'm being honest for new pvpers (on top of learning how to engage and reading skills) is also map awareness. what I recommend having your camera maxed out so you can see people around you as well as too the sides as well as using the full map not the mini map as you can have a larger field of view and tuck it in the same corner as where the minimap is damage and kills come after you get a grasp of your surroundings c:

@@Masietro Yeah I usually open my map and drag it to a corner of the screen. I definitely need to work on reading the skills my opponent has up after noticing how hard SAMs or DRKs are to kill sometimes

I was on a MCH when I unloaded everything I had in my arsenal on a DNC including LB and only did like 80% of their hp in damage. I was like WTH? Turns out they had just buffed tank and melee with 60% damage resistance. I'm like what's the point of having high-damage skills when they only going to do 40% anyway? Much disappointed.

Yeah there are some crazy damage mitigation combos out there but on the plus with Dawn trail they will no doubt be re balancing the whole system future Machinist might become more lethal

I love machinist in pvp 😍 their damage and their rotation is just, chef kiss. Also pvp right now has been awful :/ nonstop 1v2 even if that one alliance is last place. Being cornered by two teams at base so that they can hog the nodes is just frustrating. Wish that alliances can get immunity if they are pushed or attacked near base for a long period of time.

The ones I have been getting a lot recently is either someone who calls himself the flank king who so far has a 100% loss rate cause the whole team follow him spamming markers even when he makes bad callouts, or entire alliances that think sitting with a objective will someone catch us up on score XD

The "flank king" 😂 omg can imagine how frustrating it is when he is on your team xD A lot of people are so used to premades that they depend on having a leader each round. I'm pretty much a solo player...and that's why playing ninja is the best 😄

the north spawn camp is a tradition in seal rock. The map is designed specifically to facilitate it, and I grin every time I'm not north.
