Ninja is probably still my favorite job in pvp. I'm doing my first season of ranked as ninja. I've been up and down Platinum all week. I'm hoping to make it to diamond this weekend. Definitely couldn't have done it without your guides. Thanks so much.

Some people make it their mission to CC Ninjas to oblivion and beyond. Further than anything ever traveled. So CC that CC turns into dark matter diamonds and back into CC again.

That's poetic. I definitely know that feeling. The density of the CC forms an event horizon beyond which everything is an unmoving singularity.

True facts right there, it gets better when you resist and after a solid 30 seconds they start investing limit breaks to finally end you XD

I love NIN in PvP. I play MNK and NIN in PvE content, and they are both quite enjoyable in PvP, however I struggle to really have fun in the mode. In Frontline, it seems one team is always just nothing but the annoying OP combo of DRK, AST, DRG, instantly wiping out entire alliances. And in CC, I can never seem to get teammates who know what to do. I'm still low ranked, because it's always one step forward, two steps back when I try to do Crystalline Conflict. Its annoying. I want to love FFXIV PvP, but it is insanely hard to.

Those are easily counterable if people are consistent in CC locking them, with comps like that you don't need to counter the whole comp just counter their engage which is their tank And that will prevent a hard press

Yea too many either don't no or make no effort to fight against the meta so you do get a lot of repetitive matches right now, Crystalline is always a struggle when you first start out in those lower rank focus more on your own plays and trust your own game plan one off the best things you can do to climb those lower ranks is to watch for mistake and punish them, get a staggered spawn going and repeat. PVPs learning curve right now give it a few months when Dawn trail releases there will be many big changes coming :D

in frontlines there's a decent amount of ways mitigate the DK grip/wipe combo. Awareness, never grouping up into a ball helps, also certain classes like Reaper, Dancer, even bard (silence or root or both) have ways of preemptively disrupting a dive. My favorite but the trickiest imo way to disrupt the combo is with a samurai :)

Ninja LB in PvP is super awesome, but it takes a bit of luck and some perfect timing to pull it off right.

You can toggle your opponents HP bar to show their remaining % of HP, then you always know if their below 50%. Of course, the timing can still be very luck based, but this small UI change was huge for me doing ninja pvp. I'm not just looking at the health bar like, "meh, that looks about right" only to end up getting nothing from it because they were at 51%.

One off my favourite clips I have was a full stack rushing spawn, only to be shut down by me and my friend both going in double Ninja limit breaks still the funniest lb there is XD
