Greetings, my friend! Fabulous reworking of a fabulous melody. Keep up the great work! I am so glad that KZbin put this track on auto-play just now, because after taking my dogs out, I came back to hear a heavenly explosion of celestial sound, and subscribed to my new favourite music-mage. Many thanks for sharing a moving rendition of a well-beloved song :) BTW, I hope you will not change your excellent and fantastic style of orchestration and music-productionness based on the opinions of some other commenters! Your technical skill is without question, and your sense of pacing and timing adds nuance that the original versions don't have; for example, even though the boss theme ("Insatiable") gives chills and thrills to anyone who hears it, this version is more military (which I, for one, adore--and which fits in with the context of the game, since the entire game is about a "holy war" of sorts) and feels majestic in a way that the original never could (the original version with *that voice* is haunting and disturbing and unsettling but gorgeous), but the horn "singing" the main tune in your version sounds like she's crying, so yay for that. :) I saw some other FF tracks by you in the "suggested music" bit, can't wait to check them out! (I've been recording versions of Alexander Locus and Metal Theme for like 18 hours straight now, to use in a musical parody (I rewrote the lyrics to tell a different story than the game's canon). aka "I need a break, and the quality of the breakingness (or restoringness) is wholly due to the quality of the music," so there we are. :) Brightest blessings to you, my friend and brother :)

@@InfiniteRivalsMusic And many thanks to you for your kind reply! :))) (I would love to hear my Locus/Alexander song, too...but the electricity went out an hour ago--for five seconds, if that--and now my iMac is stuck on a white screen! I always work offline (it's from 2010 :) and so it hadn't even made it to cloud yet :( Once I regain access to it, you're the first I'll send it to, though :) If you're looking for a fun musical challenge until The Day of Metropolis Ark, here's one (I do this for literally every song I like, lol): Record it ten different way--like ten styles, or perhaps one with opera vocals and one with punk and one with no vocals and one with just human-made sounds (like that Smooth McGroove I think his name is). Maybe one that's upbeat, one that's sad. Or change the lyrics. (I write my own music and also full songs myself, as well, and I've even parodied my own work, but there's just something about the challenge of changing words and keeping the meaning, or keeping the words and changing the meaning completely. Same with music. Some titles I'd LOVE to hear your style applied to include: Reflections and Frontiers something from FFXIV (theme to Revenant's Toll I believe), JENOVA'S THEME of course :D and maybe You're Not Alone from 9. Some recent ones I did were Susano's Theme (XIV) and Jenova (wrote lyrics and changed the mood of each), Opening Preview Theme of Megaman X Corrupted, and now I'm working on Locus/Alex and also "Under Her Control" from 8. (I ADORED your rendition of Man With the Machine Gun, btw!!!). Anyway, the dogs are barking up a storm (it's like a choir, lol) so I\ll say adieu for the moment, brother. Take care and many thanks again :)) Hope your week is excellent too!

@@InfiniteRivalsMusic Hello dear friend! I don't know if the gorgeous version of You're Not Alone is more impressive--or the fact that you created it so quickly!! Great job, and now I can't decide which of your Final Fantasy renditions is my favourite :D (Not a bad problem to have, hehe :)) Thanks for remembering about my Mac :)) The good news is it's working, and the better news is that I realised I can't hope to make music on it any longer (I was using Garageband to record with midi controller but the limitation of one note at a time, aka no chords, was really painful; I had to record like 50 or 60 tracks JUSt to get a simple melody, harmony, and extra line of music. It took like three weeks to make ONE song. But when you mentioned Metro Ark, I remembered a very good software I used back in college, from Acoustica, and just downloaded it a few minutes ago. I know I'll never have your skill and speed in putting together tracks (I ruined my hands playing bass for hours and hours a night way way back in the day, before all this awesome software came out), BUT I'm thrilled to speed up the process from three weeks per track! So thank you for reminding me of that option :):):) Now I'll go work on Locus as my first practice run with that Acoustica. If it's not too embarrassing, I'll send it over Instagram, but for now I'll send a link to an older cover of Jenova's Theme from like 2012 or something. Take care and hope you had an excellent day And thank you for creating more wonderful FF tracks to brighten the world :):):)

Not bad, but it feels like something is missing, a certain 'Oomph' to push it over the edge. As it stands right now, it feels like this is a relatively "calm" version of the song, sort of like what Fire Emblem Franchise used in Awakening and Fates where they had a calm version of the map song that shifted into a more energetic version of the song once the units started battling. Then, once the fighting was over, it seamlessly transition back to the calm variant. Actually now that I think about it, that would be cool concept for the future if you ever want to revisit this music.
@InfiniteRivalsMusic5 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for feedback! :) Yeah that is a good point and that is exatly true that this is more like a calm version than super epic and battle like and not a bad idea if i try to make more powerful version and mark this one as "calm version" and the other as "battle version" or something.
@taemien92194 жыл бұрын
I think its because the original had vocals. You could barely hear the lyrics since they were modulated but it did give the original an 'instrument' that this piece is missing. Though if this piece were to have vocals, they would not be modulated and it would give the song a eerie feeling (since you'd be able to understand them) that I think you're looking for.
@matthewthepirate444 жыл бұрын
I actually had the exact same though related to fire emblem, though i've only played three houses. This version sounds like the map version, whereas the original Insatiable sounds like it would be the combat version. This one is nice and melodic but has none of the punch a boss theme should.

Honest opinions not allowed, then? What's the problem if people didn't like it so much?
@MBOmnis5 жыл бұрын
If you just back-handedly dismiss anyone who doesn't immediately agree with you, you're no better than the "unpleasable" crowd. Echo chambers are bad. If everyone who dislikes something is "salty", you're putting yourself above them and above any sort of feedback. This is dangerous for your own improvement and growth. Also, "to avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing".

@DeusX1215 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but this doesn’t feel like an epic orchestral mix. it feels like a remix that massacred the original and attempted to wear its face. But in its massacre forgot the bit that made the original best. The vocals For this song the vocals must be there
@InfiniteRivalsMusic5 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your honesty, I'm not entirely sure I understood correctly that you claimed my version as a remix? because it's not, this is a cover song / arrangement and i actually recorded every stuff using my MIDI keyboard. Besides, since this is a cover / arrangement and not a remake, I didn't even want to make this sound like the original especially by adding the vocals because many would do it just like that. Of course u have ur opinion and i respect that but gotta disagree about one thing, u said the (vocals) made the original best, of course the lyrics & vocals are super amazing but i think the (melody) itself makes the original best because without the melody there is no vocals basically.
@DeusX1215 жыл бұрын
Infinite Rivals Music it’s understandable and I have to agree it’s fun to do things differently than others would. if everyone stuck to the norm music would be boring and repetitive. To be fair kudos on doing it there’s next to no variations to this song and since when I last listened to it it’s slowly growing on me. I spoke too harsh on it and I’m thankful you didn’t take it as an insult. keep up the good work I feel your style would do wonders to Nier automata’s soundtrack
