Hey, do you mind telling me what gear you had to get that 89 parse, did you have the shb relic wepon? Im about 120 rdps behind you with a 52 and I'm still wondering what I'm doing wrong. I am doing skipfrit, trying to do as much uptime as possible (I do use about 3 shield lobs during titan), is it the greed on garuda during adds? Does the shb weapon really change the parse that much? Or is it the opener? I noticed you do the 1-2 FoF -3- Spirits within - Goring blade - Requiescat, Circle of scorn, into Holy spirits. Is there any reason why you're doing this opener over the standard lvl 90 opener which I'm using, 1-2-3 Fof, Requiescat - Goring Blade - Circle of Scorn, Spirits within into Holy spirits. I would love to get a parse like yours on my logs.

Sure - it's been a minute since this pull but I was definitely using the ShB relic weapon, with stats set up for UWU, i.e. maximum allowed Crit / Det / Ten and with leftover points in skill speed for some free haste. Though honestly, this only amounts to about 1% more damage at best so we'd be looking at a DPS increase of less than 25. I wouldn't worry about this too much. Anyhow, on the opener, I modified it to 1-2 FoF etc. for two reasons. The first is at level 70, we don't have Atonement, so for the ~8 GCD's we get in the FoF window, we want to guarantee that we hit 5 Holy Spirits (4 from Req, 1 from Divine Might), 1 Goring Blade, and 1 Royal Authority. The remaining two hits are combo filler, so I deemed it better value get the Royal Authority up front rather than risk losing it by pushing to the end of the FoF window. Second reason is so I can use Spirits Within 1 GCD sooner. If you look carefully, this gives me a chance to use Spirits Within again on the Spiny Plume. I've had odd pulls where everyone holds back a little too much and this plume doesn't die at a comfortable time. The modified opener gives me a chance to nuke it right after its second tankbuster hit in case I still need it dead in the correct spot. Candidly though, I wouldn't worry too much about parse because nowadays we have to play sub-optimally on purpose. You'll notice I only potted twice on this kill, but if you think about it, for a 14 minute fight, we could theoretically pot 4 times: Garuda Opener, once on Titan, and twice on Ultima. But we don't! Because potting on the Garuda means you risk killing the Spiny Plume too quickly and griefing the party. As always, it's more important to do what's best to get the clear and as you do more ultimate prog, you'll discover it's often better for others to draw out phase kill times on purpose to give space for others to build resources and have their cooldowns ready for the next phase. These are the kinds of things you learn as you go and the more you dig into ultimate parses, the more you'll discover that people's top performances usually came with significant assistance from their party, i.e. others holding back their damage so that others can do more. I'd say, for your parse, as long as you're hitting your FoF as much as possible, and getting your Goring Blade, Royal Authority, and 4-6 Holy Spirits in every one of them, you're doing very well, honestly better than the vast majority of PLD's out there. Stay focused on that and you'll pound out lots of respectable performances over time. Also, though, about those shield lobs, it can't hurt to learn melee uptime for Titan landslides :) .
