FFXV - How to always spawn Cactuar CH1

The best chance of finding them is to put the marker on that spot and really use the beginning of the game before you pick up the Regalia. Later this is not impossible but the Imperials will always come to that spot to making it a rather obnoxious task to hunt for Cactuars. Anyway first kill the monsters in the morning that are allready in the area. Like the Dualhorn (Sometimes only one,Sometimes Two) and the Blade Horsies. Then move back to the marker and keep walking untill the area goes from Sandy to more Green right between the marker and the Hammerhead rest area. Every morning so far at least one cactuar per day pops up. After that you have to wait 15 minutes real time for the chance another one pops up. Usually in that same area. To find 2 per day you are really lucky. Unless the level is higher and a Slactuar can also be found.

I spent over an hour trying to get this little bastard to spawn. And I finally found him thanks to your video, only to have the empire decide to drop an Angelus on me. Funny thing is not only did the cactuar drop a coin, Angelus dropped a V2 suit.

If you are here because you want a Cactuar needle, you can keep on doing the hunting challenge in Longwythe and you will get it. I got it at the same time as using magic if that makes a difference. I was about to give up and move on to other things as I'd already repeated it 3 times but then it dropped. (I did the hunt for sturdy helixhorn about 10 times.)

I did spawn one of those level 70 ma-x patra things at this spot. then when I summoned ramuh it said that i obtained a cactuar needle as well as a magitek core. so, i guess a cactuar spawned in the middle of the patra battle, but i never even got to see the littlw guy :(

This cactuar seems to spawn only after the Rhinos bodies go away (despawn). So before going to look for the cactuar, wait for those bodies to go. When they do I normally just run back towards Hammerhead the same path I took to the Rhinos and find the cactuar popped almost right away. I once went to where I thought the cactuar would pop and from there I could still see the rhino body and as soon as it despawned the cactuar popped. (all in chapter 1) Currently this works once a day, everytime.

Confirmed cactuar andddd fake cactuar in this location at 1500 and 1700. I recommend never ever having a chocobo for this as they make a lot of useless noise

Thanks dude, they don’t always spawn but it’s better than nothing, for some reason they stop giving me experience. Attacking other monster gives me experience stills lol. Was able to get 60k experience from this.

I didn't even need to do this to spawn them. I ran into them while I was going to take a photo of Insomnia for Vyv, they were there instead of your typical Empire soldiers lol.

Guys please help... A magitech engine aproaches and i killed all the imperial soliders. After 10 seconds another one comes, i kill all of the soliders. Then after 10 seconds a third one comes and it continious forever. Please help me

Vigilantee 2017 Have the soldiers spawn just outside the area for the cactuar and then ignore them, that should stop them from spawning on top of you.

Did you kill the Rhinos? It looks like the Rhino's are the "key" that makes him appear. I've done this exact method myself about a half dozen times in a row... Kill Rhino's, find Cactuar, kill Cactuar, camp with the Nix pendant to not gain any levels... rinse and repeat. I restarted because of the Cid glitch and starting over. It's a pain in Chapter 3 due to the Imps always showing up and making a the fight even more perilous.

Not playing this game anymore but what seems to work is waiting out the day not thru camping but actually waiting go in the area around 4 - 9 and just start killing the monsters in the area it should appear. For me at least it appears once a day. I already have 3 ribbons was going to get a fourth from the coins I got from the secret dungeon and cactuar kills but anyways this game left a sour taste so not playing it at the moment.

The cactuars aren't rare in my opinion, I've encountered a single one before, and 2 later on, along with a Coeurl, which was annoying but worth it, all in one playthrough.

Ive literally followed this and the only thing that ever spawn is the magitek dropships. They spawn like ever 1.5 minutes and its annoying as shit

im on chapter 4 and i found 2. the first one got away because of the stupid imperial army. i tried to catch it as on the ground laying there lol. the second came out around 10 am and blew the summoning whstle and saw it and killed it. keep using the wistle once you get it n chapter 4. cacutar will show up.

I'm 40 hours in and have yet to find a cactuar... And out of the blue, after beating an absurdly hard mission in northern Leide, Prompto says he sees one. I have no idea where, since there are no markers and the camera clues in this game are shit. So, still looking :P

greg You're right. Because in real life everything is laid out perfectly for you to see. We even have a tiny compass with a map that shows where hidden treasures are buried. I can see how shitty the clues are in this game, it's too realistic.

its West of Hammerhead, at Camp Palmough, be around the fire element around 4am. I haven't figured out how to keep spawning him as of yet, its every now and then I would get him. But he has to be linked to something just how this video i've showed he's linked to Rhinos.I'm still testing

cant get him to spawn anymore. I've only faught him twice...now all of a sudden he wont spawn anymore.....wtf is going on???? Still in the beginning of the game here. Haven't really progressed much because I want to just grind here. But the goddamn Cactuar wont spawn anymore....the day I am on right now I have not ran into him. And I understand he's suppose to spawn each day well....for some reason for me he wont show up. Or at least not in the spots people keep saying. It seems to be at complete random.....

you have to wait til you get to chapter to summon enemies with a whistle. keep whistling and he will come out. use the summon monster whistle. at first he wont show but keep doing that. i fought him 3 times. nearly same spot as on this map. dont worry about leveling up in early chapters. when you get to chapter 4 make sure you just go fight him in the same spot. trust me.

Roelandtstorme it was a general location marker. Meaning that it spawns north and south of that marker. But it does spawn and it works

Justin Kuykendall I was having the same issue, but it seems if there are imperials on the ground more won't spawn. So what I do is go about 300 to 400ft from the spawn and just run circles until the imperial spawn. Then you can just go back over to the spot the cactuar spawns and if you are out of range of imperial they will just sit there, won't attack you and more will not spawn. I hope I explained it well enough and I hope this helps. Happy Holidays!

Easiest way to deal with them is carry a bunch of thundara with you. I have a bunch at 156 potency and one does away with their whole group. Easy exp and no worries.
