It might have occupants or not. It might be just a vessel equipped with an AI or a bio-mechanical craft - I mean it's not that strange to have this kind of thing since we have that movie 10 Lane Cloverfield years ago - a psychological sci-fi film that set upon 3 characters doing their best they can to survive with the whole world being invaded by some LIVING BIO-MECHANICAL SPACESHIP. So in retrospect, whatever 'will or consciousness' that reside in the massive Oort Cloud might have chosen this unknown spaceship and turned it into an Ultimate One. It's PURE LOGIC :D
