He can take off his helm and eat it like in his interlude when Romani tries to force him to not hold back fighting and force him to take off his helm. In the end he DOES take off his helm to eat in a picnic setup by Mashu but it's revealed that his entire head is engulfed in fog like smoke like in his first ascendsion so the main cast CAN'T really see his actual face, but they hope that one day he will reveal it.
