He was initially very defensive! He had no choice but to wage war defensively in order to preserve the gains france made during the french revolution the movement from monarchy and divine right rule to a more democratic government with more power for the common people. He had to conquer the lands that opposed France because all of these empires wanted to wage war on Francs to restore the monarchy since they felt threatened by the fact that France executed their monarchs and didnt want this to be a recurring pattern across Europe.

I think it's because they set the bar too high with Gil from the very beginning. Every 5* AOE Archer has to be at least comparable to him in order to garner any interest (eg.: such as how Tesla is Gil, but with a smaller super-effective pool in exchange for more buffs and a bigger battery, or how Ishtar is Gil but more crit-focused), which is kind of a tall order when he is a launch servant who is still one of the best in the game even after five years.

If you happen to meet the rare Divine Saber or Berserker with Riding, Nobu will absolutely obliterate them (Napoleon will need NP2 to beat NP5 Nobu). This includes Suzuka, Caesar, Altera, Rama, Raikou, Sigurd (comes to NA in a week) and the JP-only Lakshmibai, Summer Musashi and Dioscuri.

Napoleon wasn't short, that's an historical inaccuracy, he was 1 meter and 74 centimeters tall. When he died his height was measured in feet and the result was of 5,2 feets which is supposed to be 1,58 meters BUT actually those were "french feet", which are bigger than the english ones

Looks like he was designed with Merlin in mind. The only damage boost type he's lacking is buster up, he generates a ton of stars to use with Merlin crit memes, he lacks defense or heals since he gets them from Merlin anyway, and his 30% charge is exactly the right amount to get from 0% to 100% with a Merlin + Waver comp. Hell, even the low base HP is offset by Hero Creation.

Aside from Arjuna and Emiya, Napoleon is the gold AoE Buster Archer available in the general pool and the only one with a BBAAQ deck, unlike Arjuna and Emiya, who are B-NP but has a Caster deck

I might change my mind after seeing the next story. But I'm honestly pretty happy without going for him. If I need an AOE Archer I like then I'm good with Ishtar with honorable mentions to Nobu and Atalante. And already powered up Kuro to extreme levels so I've always got an Archer answer anyways. He seems pretty darn solid and may end up being an interesting character. But used some quartz going for Okitan and Skadi is coming. So may have to throw up the hands and give up on this one.

just beat final singularity and started on the Lostbelts. Chadpoleon was my reward. which is ironic, in a cosmic sorta way, because i was just talking about how most of my favorite servants, that i use, are French. Charlotte Corday, who i somehow instakilled Goetia with, but i loved her actual history and characterization so much i grailed her to 90. Jeaane D'Arc, and Jalter who i wish i had. and Marie Antoinette, who helped me so much in the final Goetia fight, she took 0 damage in 10 turns and cucked him out of the debuffs he was doing with her NP. and the buffs she got are great to boot, and has solidified her spot as probably my favorite overall.

My problem is the ascension materials...the proof of hero, its so hard to find...and I usually bought it through event shops... Regarding him, I once played him in JP and his NP and skill is pretty useful with the ignore defense buff, so I really wish i can get Napoleon...or yeah Sigurd

Well then, here's Napoleon's Spotlight!! ^_^ I'm going to be Very Honest here: I LOVE Napoleon's Design!!! He looks so Freaking Cool!!! His Third Ascension is my Least Favorite look for him, but it still looks good; just not as good as the others, in my opinion. Also, His Skill Set is Freaking Ridiculously Good!!! He's got So Much Damage Potential that it's Insane!!! I'm so thankful that he's a Permanent Servant, not Story-locked Or Limited; I'd be incredibly upset if that was the case. I say this because (unless FGO NA combines his Banner with the Bryn and Sigurd Banner) I might have to skip Napoleon's Banner, which makes me so Freaking upset because I Really Want Him!!!! I might have to skip his Banner because Money has been tight for me recently because of You-Know-What having happened for the last few months or so. However, if NA does what I want them to do (as unlikely as that is to happen... T.T) I can try to Roll for him alongside Bryn and Sigurd, which would make me Very Happy!!! There is one buff I would give Napoleon, I'd make his skill the second 2-3 turns long. And maybe let him give a Buster buff to himself somewhere, like his NP. Also, group Napoleon with David, Chrion, Santa Nightingale, Santa Altera, and/or Calamity Jane. It lets him get some support, while still letting him allow for some GROTESQUE NP chains. If you're fighting a Berserker, Ruler, Avenger, MoonCancer, or Alter Ego- then Ceaser, Ereshkigal, Lancer Raikou, and Lakshmibai are decent picks too.
