However in common vernacular when someone say that something "rivals" something else they usually mean that it surpasses that thing. You see Saberlot generates his own crit stars and uses that to spam his NP but has no survivability while Yagyu on the other hand has survivability but can’t generate his own stars and can spam his NP with more hits on his NP, 4 compared to Saberlot’s 1 so they are both good NP spammers in different ways but Yagyu can survive an enemy’s NP while Saberlot can’t

Having bought two (Sword and the Mind and Life-Giving Sword) of his books to prepare, safe to say I'm rolling HARD for him. As for your analysis, I totally agree, but I'd add that he works really well with Summer Medb and Lanling for Lancer heavy nodes, since both of them are Arts Crit supports who provide more arts cards for Yagyu to chain with. Mash and Hans also work on a budget if you have any way to make sure Hans' NP actually gives what you need. Safe to say, I have 7 Grails set aside for him and if he comes home I'm gonna try my damndest to get him at least NP2.

He's strong as Fug. I'd even go so far as to argue that he's way better than Saberlot as while Saberlot does his crit things, Yagyu can have way more utility. For example that -50% atk down is nothing to laugh at and makes it real easy to survive a lot of hard hitting foes with it timed right and Waver's defense buffs.

I think Saberlot is a bit more useful as his damage spreads over several turns instead of just 1-turn nukes. That said though, Shimosa Grandpa's ability to spam his (ridiculously strong) NP is nothing short of amazing

and I would say you are better off with them both even if you have a Tamamo. Remember, buster is meta, tamamo is a rare support so you will have to work with what you have and your chances to get Lancelot are more realistic than Tamamo, since he is selfsufficient in a way Yagi isn't , for the first three turns at least, you are better off managing them both.

Yagyu is a great boss-killer. This guy ate Cu Alter’s NP + attacks with little to no damage in America at lv60. Saberlot needs a lot of baby sitting when you need to kill a boss. The two need very different team comps. I like Yagyu + Hans + Caster Gil for an OFF team, cuz Yagyu can’t make stars if his life depended on it, and has no Crit up with that busted first skill. Also, Hans and Gil buff def so you can see 0 dmg every now and then. Saberlot....I like Hans/Gil/Chiron (This team is absolutely bonkers) and Mash/D’eon with “His rightful place” for a bit more defense and stability.

Thank you for getting out the review for Yagyu! He is probably my most anticipated servant this year(might even grail him). Love that he is an offensive Arts Servant, (nice niche). I like the CE recommendations, I think 🤔 Another Ending might be the one I use to help out overall attack consistency on an Arts Crit team. Edison is almost perfect for Yagyu, especially when he gets his Morph skill upgrade for targetable defense and cool down. I’ll probably use them together and see how it feels. As always a solid review overall and I’m glad he gets the A+ rating...I think he is more then deserving. Probably going to whale 🐳 him a bit for the extra NP damage! Just take my Quartz and teach me the ways of the Shinkage-Ryu!!! 🥋🤺🗾🎎

The SR ST Arts Saber Tier List Dad- Good battery, one of the best crit servants in the game, can also NP spam easily. Doesn’t have any hard defense or heals Grandpa- High burst damage, attack downs, evade, can NP back to back, synergizes with most arts supports. High cooldowns on 1 turn skills make him hard to use Big sister- Free NP5 if you do the event (unlike me), guts for 3 turns, buffs her NP + the arts buff. Gimmicky crit buff that only works if you crit kinda hard to use tbh. In conclusion, Hokusai got tiddy so #1

Definitely a great Saber and one of the best servants from Shimousa. The downside is honestly that I didn't find his character super compelling. While how a character performs in terms of gameplay matters a lot, so does what I think about them in terms of how I use my quartz. Good luck to those pulling for him though. Definitely worth getting.

both him and lancelot are both even in terms of 4 star arts sabers just for different reasons. Mozart is a definite must use. no ifs, ands, or buts about for the simple fact his first and third skill are the only Arts and and star gain boosts that are EX with massive benefits for everyone. it's weird but he's oddly more fittting being our Arts Meme caster with how merlin and skadi have the buster and quick memes on them where mozart's draw back are his 1 star stats unless you grail him for that extra HP. as for third arts servant that work well i do think nero bride works good with him too given how her kit works so she can provide some of the faults to cover yagyu's faults when he needs the boost. I think given the fact lost belt is going to add new mechanics into the game you may want to consider also recommending which mystic codes to equip will work with servants too such as any arts boosting mystic codes for Yagyu are a must if his Arts boost is still cooling down or if you're into gambling with 1 quick servant in the team Maid Alter plus a certain other mystic code work in a good combo if you want to lower Yagyu's skill cool downs by a total of 3 turns all while having Maid alter help in dropping stars which again is a gamble along with that particular mystic code. probably also for the future Summer BB is also looking like a another servant that works with Yagyu especially with her unique skill of locking the cards in your hand for a few turns letting Yagyu use his 2 arts cards multiple times.

He requires Tam spam to be spam happy as much do other arts servants, but his need for her cooldown spam is much higher, plus Gil Caster for that Star Gen and damage up. I'd say he is good, but not the best. Use who you like though first and foremost.

Ah yes Hans third skill SQ. It basically makes him the cornerstone of a crit team, able to generate 15 stars each turn which is enough for a servant to consistently crit with little issue. Along with a 5-10% NP charge each turn because why not? It is honestly the one thing that I am really looking forward to
