It was also mentioned in Babylonia that when Ishtar was summoned, they used someone else's body, in this case Rin's body, as a sustainable container for the goddess, however, that doesn't mean that the original owner of the body is dead nor that the goddess took full control of the body, but rather they fuse together and therefore they coexist as a new being. So I think it's really ironic that in this case she's really out straight calling herself Rin.
