So I just recently learned the reason as to why he is the Grand Assassin as opposed than what people presumed to be Berserker. It is established that the Grand Assassin Seat is only Reserved for the "Old Man of the Mountain", aka King Hassan, but there is a loophole here that Tezcatilpoca take advantages of; though he does not possessed the qualification for "Grand Assassin", he does possessed the necessary traits for the Throne to registered him as "Old Man of the Mountain", as he is an ancient figure, technically making him an old man, is a God that is associated with the Concept of Death, similar to First Hassan, and he is From a Mountain, so the world misinterpreted him as the "Old Man of the Mountain", therefore King Hassan, which allowing him to take the Vacant Seat for himself. Yeah, Guy got the class through Bullshitting the System.

His second ascension is really great with his "ugly" face. it makes him intimidating and his body look like a slender beast in his second ascension like a cheetah or jaguar (his slender beast like body fit cheetah more but i think he is jaguar than cheetah) which is very fitting. i don't think his sprite able to capture that. His third ascension look really good if you just doesn't focus solely on him being white. but one thing i think i find make him goofy for others is not his dress but his face which look pretty conic in his chin, it gives a pretty weird impression. other than that his third ascension is cool as well. This time i definetly call his sprite superior as opposed to second ascension.

On paper, he does look like a post-apocalyptic punk/nomad that you see in post-apocalyptic fiction. But given his domain as the god of war and chaos, and this Tezcatlipoca being interested in modern culture, especially guns. This 3rd Ascension really do fits his aesthetic not gonna lie. The morning star weapon is a nice touch too. Only thing missing for him is emanating a smoky aura or an obsidian mirror on his chest, like what his legends say, or just plain obsidian jewelry for more divine drip.

You know, for the supposed Grand Assassin, he doesn't have Presence Concealment. Which is weird because in myths, Tezcatlipoca does have domain for night, fog, smoke, and anything related about the dark or shadows, which does fit the aspects and vibes of an Assassin.

As a aoe assassin farmer, he is actually the best one but that's because there is no other aoe assassin except valkyries who are probably as good as tezca with np 1. Overall as a farmer he is great but not best in arts looper but as a character in castoria team comp, he is very powerful character. Also his damage in third wave is very high.

I do adore more of this in general, locking the 3rd ascension lowers the amount of spoilers we get from the animations and voice lines, now if only they allow them to still level up past the second ascension so we can still have level 90a

Huh? Has that ever not been the case? Since Douman was the first case of this and, unless they changed it later, you could level him all the way to 90. The ascension screen would just show him and his card stuck at asc 2 the whole time until you unlocked his 3rd and final ascensions, then you’d get them both at once if you had already ascended him that much.

@@aidanorbx Ah, that’s more a separate issue from being mechanically unable to ascend a character without completing the ascension unlock quest, since you can still farm the mats you need and ascend a character before completing their ascension unlock quest.

Pretty cool take in that Tez's humanity were humans in name only and how when he was about to be forced out of his position as the sun he got rid of them out of spite (Sadly they didnt include the rain of jaguars but everything banishing into dust is also excellent). In my oppinion his final ascension look is the best one, my only complain would be that his weapon is rather plain specially with the whole weapon collector theme they gave him in FGO. If there is one god who should have a massive edgelord weapon it should be Tez.

While this design is definitely an improvement from his first and second ascensions, the art is still left to be desired. I'm surprised the sprite animations are the same for his second ascension with the panther suit. His Noble Phantasm is phenomenal and seems to contrast with Kukulkan's who looks like she's embracing the sun rather than destroying it, which highlights their rivalry.

I mean, you need to complete LB7 (or at least complete it up to a certain point, I’m not exactly clear) to unlock him. If you’ve progressed that far in the main story, your roster has probably been developed enough to finish this unlock quest.

Your not locked from leveling him up to 90. But the game doesn't let you view the 3rd and final ascends until you clear the required quest. Note that you NEED the servant to get access to the quest, and the support list for players who has access to them will not show them in their 3rd/final ascend unless you have completed that quest
