Keep in mind in the original myths he didn't actually have any comeuppance he deserved, Medea is the literal definition of an unreliable narrator, and we've seen Servants warped by their later legends, like Vlad. Most likely, Jason had that happen to him. He went from a guy that actually only occasionally needed assistance with his legendary tasks(medea helped him with a fire resistance potion essentially, but he still held two bulls still that were pulling at him from opposite sides) into this useless Aqua-esque figure. We'd probably get a more accurate form of Jason as a Rider.

In greek myth, he was THE reality warping magician (though doing everything with his music), and he was later syncretized with Dionysus and he became the figurehead of an entire religion dedicated to him called Orphism, centered around the mysteries of the afterlife. He is not a big deal nowadays, but in the context of the 6th century BC Mediterranean, he was roughly on the same footing as Jesus or Mohammad are today, so he should get the stats and skillset befitting his importance.
