FGS Glass - Custom Toughened Laminating Line

FGS Glass have commissioned their new Custom Toughened Laminating Line. The new line is producing
- SGP
- PVB
- Vanceva
- Other Custom Make Ups
The new FGS line will be making EDGE+. This edge finish will be a step up from the finish demonstrated by most laminating companies in the Australian Market. You will be able to see the most amount of difference on SGP edges.
EDGE+ will be make from perfectly matched CNC panels, which will ensure little to no steps between the 2 pieces of glass. The SGP interlayer will have additional processes to ensure a smooth glass like finish. Devoid of troughs and peaks.
Quite simply, EDGE+ will be the best edge finish you will have seen.

I was wondering how you get your edges so clean after the lamination process. There must be excess PVB or SGP on the edges before they look like what you are showing as end result

Hi Richard, unfortunately its something that we can't really talk about. The exceptional edge finish gives us a real advantage in the market place, so is not really anything we can share. Edge + can be offered on both PVB and SGP.
