It's not about the age, for sure years bring experience but that doesn't mean you cannot learn it in shorter period. Practice is the only key be consistent work more hours. Believe me it is possible I have learned to play in 7 months but one of my friend learned it in just 2 months because he practiced a lot like literally 4-5 hours a day, just because he was more passionate about it.
