I'm from Australia and grew up around drag racing. So I mostly watch ANDRA coverage of Australian drag racing, but I also watch a bit of NHRA from the US. But this is my first time watching a European production. The super clean editing and camera work, paired with a British commentator, makes this feel like I'm watching a documentary. Still very enjoyable and interesting to see the similarities and differences of top fuel in different parts of the world.

Nice mix of interviews, pit footage and on track action. Thanks for leaving out the usual pointless backing music. It’s a pity we haven’t yet invented a microphone that can capture that extreme violence at the launch. Looking forward to getting my fix of eyeball shaking at the 2020 FIA events.

Watçhing this reminded me of a time when back as a 19 year old lad I worked in the body shop of a place that did yank stuff, caddies, lots of Corvettes(composites was my thing back then)Mustangs etc. Had some rare stuff in and a few cars owned by famous and infamous people, the problem being that next door was a guy who built and ran drag cars, engines, chassis, etc.not your average stuff either but top fuel, pro mod, funny cars sort of stuff,so anytime you are putting in that last skim of filler or trying your hardest to avoid scratching the paint of a car you spent six weeks restoring, those bastards next door woul fire up some monster and your day just got worse,I did get to sit in the cabin area of a car which was styled on some sixties Chevy, with 2500 hp,(I tried to grapple the cage behind the seat once I'd clambered in and was told to sit back against the rear bars, wise advice!)and was treated to a little bit of throttle up the 400 ft paved driveway to the carpark area and no one bothered to tell me that there wasn't a floor in the back either, nothing prepares you for even the percentage of throttle I was treated to,easily the most violent experience I have ever had,Jesus! It was intense.

More sponsorship, more money, should yield more performance. I’ve enjoyed watching on both sides of the pond but I’m happy with a few tenths less, for less BS and being closer to the racing.
