This song describes my experience of being close to someone who struggles with their mental health. The fear and hopelessness that sometimes threatens to swallow you whole. Simultaneously it’s an invitation to date step down in the darkness and sit down next to the one you love. Knowing that you can’t heal anybody else, but that your presence can make a difference in someone’s painful reality.

A constant cycle. There is only one thing we can do as parents whom Love their children … hold space when they allow us, be there when they need us, love them, support them the best way we can but … we can’t save them or heal them or force them to heal. I think this is the hardest part to accept. Especially when they are adults. It is a difficult process … a journey of love and hope. To all traversing this experience … I wish you Peace, Love and moments of clarity and serenity in the middle of the storm. Keep the faith … 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

Painfully beautiful. Too familiar. I’ve been in that pool many times. The journal struck me, especially when you started to scribble. Recently I had this urge to scribble.
