Because thats what the narrow tracks and stewards incentivize them to do. Completely takes all the fun out of racing. None of the amazing wheel to wheel racing you see in WEC, GT, Supercars etc. Just boring overtakes where one guy pushes the other out of the way, often crashing them.

From the look of it there’s more action than in F1. Straight, overtake, straight, overtake, straight, overtake,… F1 car gets touched the slightest possible amount, completely broken. That’s why I prefer touring cars much more. Hard racing, door banging, damaged bodywork and still manageable to get a spot on the podium
