The sled needs to be turned around to have the curve facing outward, otherwise it just looks like a bunch of boards. And a wreath or ice skates (with decorative details) would look great hanging on it. 😊

I would make 3 snowflakes with white plastic clothes hangers, 2 children's - 1 adult's- then flock them and top with an ice crystal look glitter like the top of a fresh fallen snow. Use jute or natural rope to connect them hang down the front of the sleigh. Top with a scarf and mittens draped across the top and mittens off to one side one higher than the other.❤

So festive!! For the sled idea…..drape a plaid scarf around or over it and then take a pair of mittens or gloves on a yarn string (like little kids mittens usually are) and drape them over also….just an idea that I think would be so realistic. Enjoy your week!!

I'm more rustic, so I loved your mom's front porch, esp. that simple basket w/ the red berry stems. The toboggan is a GREAT find, putting house numbers on it is an excellent idea, or a "merry Christmas" sign of some sort. The deer looked perfect browsing in your sister's front yard. But the black ornament balls, maybe it's just me b/c I'm not modern, but they reminded me of the bombs you see in cartoons; I can't get with the black. But that's the joy of different people having different ideas, right? Would be so boring if we all liked the same things! Wish I had a family member with your talents to style my porch!

For the sled I would do a wide velvet ribbon layered with a stripe or plaid and do a long simple bow combined with a kind of x made with the ribbon down and across the sled.

Could you put a wool scarf over or on the toboggan? Mittens on twine and hang down. Cut down a blanket for the sled over the top? My family had a toboggan and we got all 5 of us on there! Fun!

Each look is uniquely beautiful. I love them all. I think the modern spheres/ ornaments made from bowling balls might be my favourite but it’s hard to choose. With your mom’s sleigh what about flipping it around so the curved part faces forward and painting some red stripes down it like many of the vintage sleds have?

I’ve liked the looks of the the curtain rods with the garland on the inside of homes. But your idea of putting it outside is perfect for my front. I have one of those entrances that are covered hallways before the door. Having the decorated hanging garland at the entrance will be a perfect welcoming look.
