The flag of Sarawak is based on the flag of the Raj of Sarawak of the White Rajah, and includes the yellow of Southeast Asian royalty, hence why the Bruneian flag also uses yellow. The current design with the diagonal stripes was adopted in 1988. On the Raj of Sarawak flag (1870-1946) and First Sarawak state flag (1963-1973), the yellow background represented the Malays and the red and black lines represent the Chinese and Dayak communities, but on the 1988 flag, the nine-pointed star serves to represent the then nine divisions in the state, while yellow denotes the importance of upholding the law, unity and stability in diversity. The red portrays courage and black is the symbol of the abundant natural resources that Sarawak possesses. The flag of Acadiana/Cajun Country in Louisiana was adopted in 1974. The golden star serves as a symbol of Acadian exiles in America and alludes to their Roman Catholic heritage. The fleurs de lis represent the French ancestry of the Cajuns, and the golden castle represents the Spanish period of Louisiana, the rule during which the exiled Acadians arrived. And Hatay State (now Hatay Province) is a part of Turkey/Türkiye, not Syria! Hatay State only existed between 1938 and 1939, declaring independence from Syria, and following a referendum in June 1939, they voted to join Turkey as Hatay Province.

Brunei definitely has a unique flag to be proud of! The field of yellow represents the Sultan, as yellow is associated with royalty as shown on the royal standard of Thailand as well as the flag of Sarawak in Malaysia. The hands symbolize the benevolence of the government. The crescent represents Islam. The parasol represents the monarchy, and the wings symbolize justice, tranquility, peace, and prosperity. And the black and white stripes represent Brunei's chief ministers/senior advisors the Pengiran Bendahara (First Minister; represented with white) and the Pengiran Pemancha (Second Minister; represented with black), with the white stripe being slightly wider than the black one to signify the First Minister's role. On the crescent is the country's motto in Arabic which says, "Always render service with God's guidance", and below it is a banner in Jawi script (which is based on Arabic script) that says the country's formal name Brunei Darussalam which means "Brunei, the Abode of Peace".

There's meaning behind why the flag of the Bikini Atoll was inspired by the US flag! The Bikini Atoll flag has 23 stars for the 23 islands of the atoll. The flag is symbolic of the islanders' position that a great debt is still owed by the US government to the people of Bikini because in 1954 the United States detonated the Castle Bravo hydrogen bomb on the island, poisoning islanders and others with nuclear fallout. The three black stars in the upper right represent the three islands that were obliterated in March 1954 during the 15-megaton Bravo test by the United States. The two black stars in the lower right corner represent where the Bikinians live now, Kili Island, 425 miles (684 km) to the south of Bikini Atoll, and Ejit Island of Majuro Atoll. These two stars are symbolically far away from Bikini's stars on the flag as the islands are in real life (both in distance and quality of life). The Marshallese language words on the flag, MEN OTEMJEJ REJ ILO BEIN ANIJ, which translates as "Everything is in the hands of God", was the reply Bikinian leader Juda gave to US Commodore Ben Wyatt in 1946 when the Americans asked the islanders to give up their islands for "the good of mankind and to end all world wars"
