How do you waterproof the gap between van and awning? I have one over the top of the sales points on my mobile print lab. When it rains water pours down side of van onto our monitors and sales team. I was thinking mastic or silicone sealant but am not sure which is best or even if they are correct stuff to use,

We haven't done anything with it, but you can buy a strip that slots into the top and redirects the water. amzn.to/4aM1KoS

Is there a reason you only went 3 meters for that van ? Only ive got the same lenght and was going to get a 3.5 meter one ?

@@joshveitch660 the van curves in at the front, which meant any longer awning would stick out further from the body the closer you get to the front. It is doable but more packing would be required for the front bracket.

These awnings are are okay to give shade,but I have yet to see one that will cover the door area completely from the rain.

Because of the curvature of the front of the van, it is difficult to have it any further forward, so the sliding door is never completely covered. Also rain can still run down behind it unless you have a rain guard fitted.
