Yeah, but notice she bumped up Tom Ford once she found out it was Tom Ford. I’ve seen a lot of these ladies blind rate fragrances and once they realize the name, they’re immediately more interested. I once saw a visual test where they rate a guy based on looks, and then tell him he’s worth millions, and they always want to reevaluate him. It’s inherent in hypergamy, they can’t help it.

No doubt, we all have our inherent biases, I think I honestly give Mugler more credit than it deserves, not that it isn’t great. Your right though, she originally gave it a 7.8, then the name brand small bump. It’s like watches and clothes and cars, name brands will sell for more even at the same or less quality, to a degree. I once saw a $5k hoodie, no hoodie in my opinion is worth that kind of money, but it had a designer name.

Calvin Klein's Euphoria Intense's opening is wonderful. I certainly didn't expect that coming from an inexpensive designer. I enjoy the rest of the wear, but the opening. 5 stars for the cost. I think there must have been some batches of 3AM that may have been a little wonky. I've worn it, sprayed it on paper, put it on cloth, and it's always the same thing, overly dry sharp, and almost acrid. It smells like one of those Renuzits order eliminators that they had in the can. The one that was devoid of any fragrance. Just starchy dry. Up close on my skin though, a nice fig, but in the air. It happens. Products are recalled, some are sent to other places depending on what the item is. I got mine at Burlington. I've gotten some good fragrances at Burlington. TdH is one of my favorites. Will be looking at a bottle of Tobacco Oud. Thanks for having Gracie on Justin. Have a great week ahead.

Justin, I need your expertise in answering something for me. I’m a Chanel kind of guy and recently purchased in the last month or so, Bleu de Chanel parfum, Allure Sport, the extreme version EDP and Platinum Egoiste EDT. I am a little disappointed in their performance. I had purchased these fragrances in the past and they were way better in performance as opposed to the more current version. I do respect your opinion when it comes to assessment of fragrances and if you could shed some light on why Chanel fragrances of late, are not great performers, it would be much appreciated! sorry to go a bit off-topic. I think other people around perceive a scent differently than the wearer himself. very much. and I have a theory why that is: a scent changes on the skin due to the body and skin chemistry of the wearer. we all have heard about that. because it is true. BUT we can not smell our own body and skin chemistry. we hardly can smell our own body odor. isn't it? sometimes, others can smell it from a distance, and we have no idea what they are talking about. (think about what is happening if we eat garlic a few hours later, after we ate it. we don't smell anything. but others run away from us. ) and because we can not perceive our own body chemistry, we can not smell the changes, that our chemistry has done to the scent on our skin. we are noseblind to these changes. not to the rest though. we can smell the rest. which seems to smell pretty normal to us. but all other people on the planet earth, can smell the changes + the rest. therefore, the wearer himself is the last person on the planet, who can judge the scent he is wearing. this is the reason why I ask other people around (if I know them well) what the scent that I am currently wearing smells like. sometimes I am very surprised, in a positive way, sometimes in a bad way.
