I heard you say, in the days maluch was made in Poland there was still gl-3 hear oil. No way, there is still gl-3 oil which has a higher protection for the soft metals in your gearbox. There is gl -4 and gl-5. One is fit for the differential the other one is for the gearbox. The synchromesh in the gear box is softer than the additives in the gl-5 oil. So, i'm not sure if you put the oil in the gearbox of in the differential. If you filled the gearbox, drain it out again and fill with gl-4.
@FIAT126p3 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right. There is a situation where GL-5 should NOT be used in these old transmissions for the reasons you state. Even though that my bottle GL-5 specifically said that it is safe for GL-3, it's better to be safe then sorry and I ordered proper "yellow metal safe" GL-4 lubricant and will change out as a precaution. Pinned your comment so others can see and THANK YOU!

@@TheKal2919 i'm not a scientist. We had an old usarmy- truck from 1944 that had no synchro and for that we used sae90 gear oil. No problem there cause there's no soft metal in that gearbox. I used for the tulsa which gearbox also and i still use it in the transmission reduction gear of my linde forklift, not in the hydraulic circuit ofcourse. I would use sae 80 of 90 where i'm sure there are only hardened gears in the gearbox. If you think a gearbox has soft metals in it use gl4. Ask Scotty, ... he knows everything.

Love your videos, I think i watched all of them like 3 times. What did you use to fresh out the moldings on the door. I need to do that too on my 126p.

Thank you. Used PlastiDip paint. Gives it nice textured finish and also hides imperfections.

Hi Bartek! Your videos on the maluch are extremely informative and very descriptive, thank you very much for providing this kind of quality content, especially in English! I Currently have a Maluch that is residing in Poland that I use and drive while Im overseas. I love it so much, so much that I am very interested in importing my Maluch to the US. Once I have enough funds and the car is over 25 years old I'd like to go through with it and import the car but I really dont know how to get about with importing the car, I was wondering if perhaps you could provide some info regarding how you imported the car or possibly perhaps make a video of how you went through with importing the Fiat in the first place? that would be awesome! If you see this, thanks for reading my comment!

Hello Julian - unfortunately I do not have first-hand experience with the import procedure because I had someone do the process from start to finish and I got the car once it already had US title.

@FIAT126p3 жыл бұрын
It depends where you live obviously. Here in the US, you can buy the parts from eBay or Mr. FIAT and there is generally a pretty good supply of parts.

Hi, I am wondering what is the color code you have on it. Is it by any chance 75? Is there a name for this color or tag just gives number? I just wonder how would you find paint for it if needed.
@FIAT126p2 жыл бұрын
I think it is code 75, the code is on the data plate under the windshield. Unfortunately, I was not able to find this paint already pre-mixed. I think the only option for some extra paint would be to go a bodyshop and ask them to mix some custom paint (they can just scan the paint off the car).
