Fiat 500 Multimedia Player by Witson (comedic, not professional)

Our car's radio, or I should say, fiat's blue & me (fake Bluetooth), stopped working. In this day and age BT is a must - navigation and music is the bare minimum. Fiat 500 (2015) decided to opt for their version of Bluetooth, instead of going generic. Blue & me sucks. I've seen hundreds of blog post of all the failures with the proprietary BT.
Anyways, we went on AliExpress and found this device. It's called the "Witson Multimedia Player Fiat 500". It had over 400 reviews and it seemed like an easy installation.
It arrived in 5 business (5 business day also given it was during Xmas).
The installation was difficult because it didn't come with an instruction manual - Witson, please step it up with that.
It took about 1 hour to install, but I'm sure if you're an expert it'd take no more than 20 mins.
If you're tired of your Fiat 500 radio and want a modern multimedia with navigation, BT, music, and just overall a better operating system, try the Witson radio.

Cool android infotainment unit, I'm looking at getting the same one but with a different surround for my Fiat Panda. Couple of questions, does it come with everything you need to install, like the stereo puller things, the adapter cable and what was the canbus thing you had to do to get it working?

Hey guys great video! the Witson is plug and play with the original cables of the car and the ones that come with the device? Or do you needed to cut and reweld something?

Hi Christian. Thanks for commenting. We used the oem connecters. I believe theres an adapter that connecters straight to the car’s cables. Otherwise, theres no cutting or splicing cables together. Its pretty easy. My recommendation is connect all the cable and start the car and see if it works. If doesnt, it means something wasnt connected correctly. Its like legos. Make sure you use the canbus or else it wont work.

I just installed this unit and it completely drained my car battery over night. Do you know if there is a setting to set the unit to turn off completely, rather than go to sleep mode? Mine didn't come with a manual

Quick question, after you guys installed the stereo, anything happened to your odometer??? Mine started flashing and can’t or don’t know how to fix it, any tips??

You need to do a "Proxi Alignment" (essentially it makes all the connections in the networked canbus re-memorize their neighbors). Depending on the unit it works 60% of the time to fix the problem. You can do it yourself, but it requires Multiecuscan, a yellow OBD2 adapter, and a elm327 adapter -- also a little computer knowledge. Or, you can pay a shop $200-300 to do it for you. Chinese head units are sometimes built wrong, have the wrong adapters, etc -- so I've had it to where that doesn't fix the problem and the unit just doesn't play well with the canbus system in the car. Hence the 60% of the time it works ;)

Hi below are the link of the items I bought. I purchased the 8 GB version because it suits my needs. All I needed really was one app for the Apple carplay and all the heavy processing occurs in my phone. For example, Google map, apple map, and Spotify are app on my phone. The applications are not mirror on the multimedia player and in fact are touch sensitive. It's ideal and an amazing purchase. The device is great. Rarely it bugging, but it has. Typically, due to not be turn off correctly. Just turn your car off and it'll reset. The carplay dongle can be bought on Amazon. Just follow the steps to install app on the media player. I used my phone's hot spot so the media player can have internet to download the apps. The dongle can be bugging from time to time. Just unplug it and replug it and it'll work fine. Hope this help. hello don't the km flash? it seems no to you, please link me the car radio I would like to put it too but I would not have problems, the usb you have not brought it with the extension cable at the bottom and replaced the microphone I have heard that if you do not do it it does not work well , sorry for the various questions but I would not regret the purchase

Hi guys... I've been considering replacing the BLU & Me system with this. Some questions: 1. How is the air-conditioning without the vent controls? 2. Are you able to still connect the USB port on the glove box. 3. Did you get the back up camera? How does it work? 4. Do the buttons on the steering wheel still work? 5. Does the BLU & Me system need to be operative? Mine went out.

The air conditioning still functions. The direction can't be adjusted, but I'm sure there's a work around. Yes you're still able to connect to the USB through the glove box. There's also a USB on the unit. Yes, it come with a camera. Although we didn't install it. The buttons on the steel wheels work with the unit. It operates separate from Blu and Me. Ours stop working too, which is why we had to upgrade. Hope this helps s

hi Julita!!! We install both the canbus, which from what I remember allows the car to recognize the car as original. Meaning, it's supports all of the functions. We also installed the antenna wire into the new multiplayer. It should fit in perfectly. If you're have trouble with the radio I suggest to buy a car play adapter (if you have an iphone) which let's you mirror your phone on the unit. It work great and it runs all your apps. It's like $30 on Amazon. Hope this helps

@@weredos_ got it sorted, one of the fuses has been burned. did you install the reversing camera as well ? Cause I have no clue how to do it as the bracker included won’t fit the back lid because it’s to wide and have different system of registration plate lightning.

Hmm. That’s never happened to my fiat. I would contact the dealer (where you part the multiplayer) and tell them to ship you a new codecs.

Umm they still work, but there's not closing them. The vents don't affect the screen when the heat is on. Its about about compromise - modern screen and lose closing the vent. I'll take it

I love it. Blue and me stopped working so I needed to upgrade. The vents still work and it doesn't affect the unit. And yes the controls in the wheel still work.

Everything works normal... Speaker and mic. The unit is a plus. It come with Bluetooth and operates an Android system. I purchased a car play dongle so I can connect my iPhone to the display and it works great. It cost about 25 bucks on Amazon. With the Android operating system you do alot of things. We've had the unit for almost a year and it's amazing. Great investment. Make life a lot easier. Provides turn by turn direction with maps or Google maps. It's great.
