Ever bulldozer I have operated has had a battery master on/off switch (Caterpillar, Case, John Deere, Dressler) so I am not surprised to see one on this machine.

You and me both. Hahaha. I will be hiring two professionals to help me. I will lean on their knowledge. I do know we have to strip the top soil off and out it to the side first. Then, cut down the high spots and mover that dirt into the low spot. We tell the lights and low with a rotary Lazer and a stick.

Nice size machine, FA was very popular in Aus and NZ, not sure they were really big in NA, coal mine near me was running 21, 31 and 41's until a few years ago, not sure what parts support is like now

To angle blade stop machine on level...set brakes...raise blade one foot off ground..pull pins and ears on blade and just walk blade to pin in location..and pin...leverage can be gained by swinging arms out to get leverage...use care.

Thanks, will do. I will be on flat land the entire time I will be operating it. So, I should be good. Also, I plan to have a friend (seller actually) come and show me how to push dirt with it.

That dozer should have been put on trailer blade first the machine was two far forward meaning two much weight on the truck be careful you could get serious injuries I could see that truck was to light to move that machine.iv owned heavy equipment for over 50 years I'm just getting used to computers and laptops but I know there not going to kill me Take care and good luck with it 👍

How much does that dozer weigh? I tried to look up specs on google, but it was very confusing. Im interested in getting some equipment for working in the woods, and I've looked at the minotaur 550 with a dozer blade as it seems to be the best skid steer platform for dozing, but man they're expensive. Sorry, as i was listening and typing this, you said you were going to give specs.

When I purchased this dozer I was told it weighs 16K lbs. After my last video, a few days later, I was looking though the books that I had gotten when I purchased it, and found the actual number for what it weighs. It is 20,700 lbs with fuel and operator. But the added winch adds weight as well. I have two books on the winch and neither one tells me what the winch weighs. There was a section on removal of the winch and it stated to ensure that the straps are rated for 3,000 lbs. Winch means the winch is at least 30%+ less than 3,000 lbs. My guess is around 2,000 lbs. So, the dozer with the winch on the back is around 23,000 lbs. I wish I knew this before I pulled it home. If I knew this, I wouldn't have pulled it home and hired someone instead.

Take it slow if this is your first foray into using a dozer read the manual many times so your not surprised ,do a complete lube change out including transmission ,and finals

Thanks. The seller and I are friends. He has offered to come down and show me how to do work with it. Then I will take over. I will probably hire him and another friend to come help me get the runway done.

All those NON working gages will leave you with a broke down machine, OIL pressure and Trans temp are MUST havre you will ruin that dozer for being cheap and lazy. I operated a Tractor restoration and repair shop for 14 ;years, I have seen your type, Cheap know it alls.

Hahaha. You are funny! I buy a dozer, which I plan on fixing up before I use it and you call me cheap? Hahaha, you do not know me at all. If you like dozers and homesteading, subscribe so you can see something really funny when I begin the repair of the items which were broken when I about it. I just got the dozer home that day I shot this video. Have you ever bought a tractors to restore which had broken gages? Haha if it is perfect when you buy it and get it home, then you don't have a restoration business, you have a paint and polish business. Things don't have to be 100% perfect when I buy them. I know or can figure out how to fix them. Personally, I think finding parts might be hard. If you want to be helpful with your comment, instead of making some kind of assumption, then provide me with a list of places I may be able to purchase these gages or sending units for my dozer. @@RetiredDreamLife You sir are very right, I dont know you are what you are doing, I opened mouth and a lot fell out, I made lost of assumptions, but No I dont know where parts can be found, I personally avoid ANYTHING with FIAT written on it, Fiat bought Allis Chalmers for the Dealer network to sell tractors. with NO intention of continuing or supporting Allis Chalmers built machines. They did the same with the machines they built and funneled in the marketplace with the Fiat Allis name, when they bought Case International and later Ford Tractor, they Dumped the Fiat Allis tractors and no longer support them, . Maybe you can get some parts at a Case or New Holland Dealer, Fiat now owns them both.
