Fiat Cinquecento Proto P2 w/ Kawasaki ZX10-R Superbike engine racing on track!

Proto P2 cars are a sort of covered go-karts with a very low weight and powered by motorcycle-derived engines which makes them very agile and suitable for slalom races and for tiny and little circuits. Generally they are homemade by enthusiasts but there are specialized companies who build these fun track-toys.
In this video you can see a pretty crazy and fast Fiat Cinquecento powered by a Kawasaki ZX10-R 1000cc engine during the 2018 Challenge del Lupo at Castelletto Circuit!
Formula Challenge is an Italian series taking place on permanent circuits or on arranged ones (dirt, tarmac or mixed). Races are chase races in which the cars start at preset intervals. The type of the circuit must be such as to provide an average speed not over 80 km/h. The final classification is drawn up to the sum of the times resulting in the two best heats of the race (out of 3) discarding the worst.

Normal Fiat 126p with modified engine and suspension can win against Lancer Evo or Impreza STI on a very tight, low speed stage. On this track this CC would beat the Lambo.

When your gear box don't chill live the siqentcill gear box indicator couldn't even start to think that bloke did for the engine to cope with the extra weight of the shell and that gear box surely can't be stock even on the bike there a little longer a lot of work on that mad fun thing

Unfortunately, while changing the final drive is easy, it's a ton of work to go into a motor and change the gearing. On a motorcycle, these bikes do 100 mph in first and get to 180 in 6th. If this car were geared to do 100, he'd still do 60 in first. That's another 5 gears in 40 mph or one per 8mph. Ouch

theres no room in that car for an inline setup into a diff, it will certainly be using sprockets so very easy to change final drive. my view as a kart racer is his steering is too slow to compensate for the over tyreing thats compensating for the under gearing and excessive rear wheel span, looks like it handles like a dog to me. Hes having fun, is all that matters and yes im jealous :p

Is the powerband 200 RPMs? There is a lot of time and attention being used to constantly shift that is taking away from actual driving and accelerating and optimal steering. Cool car though. You know its fast when the inside wheels come off in the corners, the Jettas I used to race against at the speedway used to do that and they always won.
