Bought a new X1/9 while I was a senior in high school 1974 for $4,400.... fun car to drive, especially with the top off...

Back in the late 70's and early 80's I had 2 tan 1974's !😁 I miss them,they were FUN to drive ESPECIALLY with 185/60's-13 tires instead of the 145-13's that came stock!😮😁 I want another for a project car 😉😃😎

Had a 79 that had Bertone printed on the doors, what does that mean?

It ran on a mid engine configuration, designed by Bertone, real eye catching at its era. Unfortunately it was underpowered, sort of lackluster! Fiat had made great cars over 4 decades ago, I had a 124st, as well as a 125s. Not so reliable with many minor bugs but lots of motoring pleasure! I bet not too many people realize that even d standard 124 at d time came with 4 wheel disc brakes of which lots of vehicles still rolled out of production plants with front disc/rear drum! Pretty hi tech for this Fiat 👍🏻

It was comming with rear engine, I have diecast models for this car in the 70s when I was child 😊. FIAT built nice cars such as ARGENTA in 70s and begining of 80s. I love FIAT cars so much specially CROMA 1990 which I bought before.

If they keep the weight roughly were it was back then, 150 hp would more than sufficient.
