My first WEC race live, and first time leaving North America (43 Y,O). This was as close to perfect as is reasonably achievable. What a weekend! What a race! What a venue! Nothing against Monza, but I'm not sure how the FIA can say no to Imola next year.

there's a couple of reasons why WEC will never be as popular as F1: - F1 has the best social media team in terms of promoting the sport an exposing it to more people and countries - And for people who are employed and not couch potato experts, people do not have 6-24 hours to watch the races in WEC whilst F1 is usually 1 and a half hours only; F1 is also full of toxic fans and haters *cough cough Lewis Max and Alonso to name a few* especially Alonso and his deluded fanbase. So F1 is worsening over time with less sensible people learning about the sport and coming into it

To be fair, it was a pretty baffling decision. Ferrari probably could've actually survived with those slicks since only the last sector got really wet while the rest of the track was drying quickly, but they chickened out and went with wet tires FOR ALL 3 CARS letting the snowball of bad decisions rolling.

I was there in Imola. At one point Ferraris were the ONLY ONES without wet tyres on the track and they were getting out of corners slower than gt3s. And still they decided to stay out. Not with one car, with BOTH, which is insanely stupid. If you're leading in front there are two rules: copy who is behind and if possible differentiate. They did not follow both of them.

I haven't been following the WEC/LM series this year, but I am both shocked and pleased to see a team running the Lexus chassis in LMGT. The Vasser-Sullivan cars have been a personal favorite in IMSA since their debut so it's nice to see 2 more cars running globally.

Sadly the BoP hurts the Lexus a lot in WEC and their Bronze drivers don't seem to be as capable compared to even Vasser Sullivan's GTD class drivers. Hence the night & day difference between IMSA Lexus & WEC Lexus. Heck, the RC F that raced in Super GT GT300 class also fared better than their WEC counterpart.
