I'm sitting here listening to this in the small cottage house that my wife's grandfather had built in 1928, in which my FIL and his brother were both born, and that we now own, and I can only think that they were listening to this on the radio in my living room back in 1946...Thank you !

I've listened to over 1000 different F&M McGee shows, and find that some people give them thumbs down due to the quality, or lack of quality of the sound. Static interference. It was 1945. This was the first Christmas after World War 2. I'm sure it brought many comfort and a laugh.

This was the first classic radio show I ever heard. Still one of my favorites, along with The Whistler and Boston Blackie.

This recording was my dad’s favorite from when he was a kid. I had helped him search for it for years, and never found it. Now, 5 years after his passing, I find it. Thank you for posting this and helping me re-live childhood memories. Merry Christmas.
