Fascinating to know that all these cars at some time were on the road driving, giving joy to the drivers. What happened between then and now.......... The cars deserves to be restored and enjoyed again. But that can take years. I know for myself, putting up the task of restoring a Kellison J6 in The Netherlands.

My second cousin built a car around a FG body he bought, in the 1950's. The story was that he used a small Ford V-8 (flathead, I'd assume) and 'big Ford' running gear. He was in the Modesto area, and knew some friends in the Porsche Club and they made mistake of inviting him and his wife on their annual rally into Mexico. The legend is that the Ford liked Mexican gas better than the Porsches, and they won the rally. The last car shown on the FG Farm was probably real close to what he built. I think it was a Devon body he used. 🌠

We wouldn’t say no to someone dropping a dump truck of cash to do that 😉

At the 5 minute mark there was a car that had tear drop headlights and a grill that looked like a 55 Chevy. I could be wrong, but was that a car called the "Venus". When I was a kid growing up, there was a barn that had collapsed that us kids would play in and there was a fiberglass car in the barn, it was a Venus. I've seen photos of one on an old 50's vintage car magazine.......I had read that only one survived and it was abandoned in the Boston Area after a Boston Car show due to the company going bankrupt and not having the ability to move that car. I think the car in the barn was that car and if there was only one, it makes sense that this is the same car I knew as a kid and played in. I remember it had a ford v8 engine in it. Is that the only Venus on the planet? If there are fiberglass car collectors that are interested in collecting stuff, I've got the Molds for the Avanit Four Door Sedan from the 1990's. Only 90 cars were build. I bought almost all the molds for 234 dollars

Good eye and yes, that would be the Venus, but it’s not the only one. We helped facilitate the sale of another to a friend of ours who will be restoring his soon. Great story about the one in the barn, here’s the stories we have on the Venus from our website: www.undiscoveredclassics.com/?s=Venus&x=0&y=0

Geoff, when will we see it finished?
@UndiscoveredClassicsUSA10 ай бұрын
There’s only one finished example right now, the one our friend Paul Sable owns and debuted at Pebble Beach last year. It’s currently on display at the AACA Museum. If you check out the videos we have for our time at Pebble Beach the past year, the car is featured extensively. -Mike

Wow, it looks great! Is the D’Olloqui the same as the Debonaire?
@UndiscoveredClassicsUSA10 ай бұрын
Yep! They’re only know as the Debonnaire or the Venture. The Debonnaire was a fully built car and the Venture was just a body to be built by the buyer

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the German Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any more...
