I've made many of your beautiful butterfly shawls & now making this lovely blanket. My step-daughter lost her full term baby 7 yrs ago & I decided to make her this lovely butterfly blanket for her forever keepsake in memory of her son William. I'm using Lion Brand Ice Cream Big Scoop yarn in variegated blues & its turning out truly amazing. I thoroughly love the way you teach & I've made many of your various items on your tutorials. Thank you for being so thorough from this Canadian gal

Good morning , I have wanted to learn this stitch for a while now, new to crocheting, self taught . It took me several tries , but I nailed it. I especially nailed it when you added the third video. Sometimes it takes me a bit to get something,but when I do I’m unstoppable. I appreciate your time that you put into your videos and the dedication you have for your love of fiber arts. From the bottom of my heart many warm hugs and thank you .- Melody Kochan

Thank you so much for your tutorials. I hadn't crocheted in many years and I am left-handed so I was having difficulties trying to follow tutorials and patterns but your clear instructions and repetitions have set me on the right path. It is especially helpful of you to specifically say and show where the stitches stop and start in rounds or at the ends and beginnings of rows. You have made this pattern so approachable that I have started a summer bedspread in number 5 crochet cotton and a size 2.5mms hook. Thank you again for all your hard work. Stay caffeinated!

I totally got this now. I definitely will be doing this beautiful blanket for my next project. Just finished the Midwife Inspired Blanket and it turned out Beautiful! Thanks for sharing and your time. By the way I've seen other tutorials on this and they ALL did DC on the wings instead of a Treble, and the sides dipped down because of the DC. Your way IS 100% better. Thanks again and for the Inspiration. 💖👏🖒😍

Hi. Love this pattern. A friend of mine wants a larger size to fit her bed. How would I go about making this big enough to fit a Queen sized bed?
@conniestone62514 жыл бұрын
W0W, that is a LOT of butterflies! I might consider making several BLOCKS (like the blankie), and then join them together so that the heavy weight distribution does not cause misshapen motifs?

Hi enjoyed following your video, i got to the 2nd repeat 7-10 how do i keep going and how do i increase to make a big blanket i hope to hear from you soon as i'm at a stand still

I was wondering what would be the best yarn to use for this blanket? would mandala yarn work? can someone let me know what their using? Thanks for the repeat! beautiful pattern!
@lucillegriffin95256 жыл бұрын
Theresa Castillo I'm using mandala in the phoenix colorway
@theresacastillo35256 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lucille , im going to try the mandala yarn, I hope it works, I like the self stripping yarn !!!
@cindynavarro28526 жыл бұрын
I used the Mandala in the Gnome colorway for the Butterfly shawl. Came out beautiful. I used an H hook for that, but would probably use a G for the blanket to make it less lacy and more substantial. Have fun!!

On the corners, instead of doing dc, fp-fp-fp, dc; do you think dc-dc, fp, dc-dc would work just as well???
@FiberSpider6 жыл бұрын
Yes I think it would work, would just have a slightly different effect/look, always fun to experiment 😉🕷☕🕸

Can i ask do you ever block your work when finished if so how do you do it i've just finished the butterfly stitch blanket and i used a silky yarn which looks a bit bumpy it needs blocking to lay flat...
