Internal Brace is a recent advancement in the Ligament surgery in which a Fibertape(A UHMWPE tape which is very strong) is used to supplement repair or reconstruction of the ligament. The Internal Brace acts in a seat belt manner to prevent injury to the ligament . The role of Internal Brace is evolving in the ACL surgery.
