I just discovered your channel and watched this episode. I am a fellow Mainer living in Benton, just north of Waterville. I’m a long time crocheter, but never knit until I moved to Maine 13 years ago. I met a woman at church who was knitting socks. When I inquired how you do that she wrote a list of what I needed and sent me to Joyce at Yard Goods in Waterville. I then proceeded to sit with Wendy learning to knit and made my very first item, a pair of wool socks which looked horrible! Since then I’ve made several pair, a sweater, lots of hats, and some pillow covers (using up my left overs). But I just need more help to learn pattern stitches, cabling, color work, etc. i also do watercolors now and then. I attended the Fiber Fair this year and loved it! I live on a limited fixed income with my daughter and grandson, so I don’t have a large stash of yarn. May I ask where you live? I have not been any further north that Greenville on the west, Millinocket in the center and Eastport on the east. Really want to visit the county one day. We love Maine and will never leave. Well, I hope the hear back from you and look forward to watching more videos.

I am thrilled you've also found the channel! KZbin is your friend when it comes to advancing your knitting skills. I am all self taught from books. Happy Knitting and fond wishes, Sarah

Lord you’re the only other person I’ve heard mention Anya Seton! Be still my heart. I have been carrying a book by her through the years ( probably 35) called ‘Green Darkness’ and it is to this day my favourite book. Lovely podcast as always. Thank you 🇨🇦

Oh, Green Darkness is one of my favorites, it's a toss up between it and Avalon...I've had mine for years too! Really enjoying Katherine, and will probably reread Avalon next!

www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/frkengardskofte Here is the link to the Ravelry page...I believe it is only available in the book. You may have to do some digging internationally to find it but maybe try some popular Yarn Stores on line in Sweden and Norway

I thought of you first thing when I heard they had found the "Endurance". Does that make me a long time fan? It doesn't seem all that long ago that you talked about Shackleford and his crew.
