I haven't had the depressive flares yet, thank goodness, just the occasionally feeling like this illness is too much for me, but I do think an illness that affects the brain and mucks with our balances of neurotransmitters is going to have some major effect on mood. I've had a couple anxiety flares - i've always had a bit of social anxiety, but nothing extreme - and I'll just have a pounding heart and feel like crying at everything, even when there's no reason, and then it'll be gone the next day.

Well, I do not wish it on anyone, so I'm glad you haven't experienced them. I've had the anxiety ones too, but less often, and those are scary cause of the pounding heart thing! Yeah, our brains are definitely weird as hell 😆

I had a flare just the other week , the biggest I've had in over 2 years, it caught me off guard and felt quite alarmed by it. Glad it's significantly better now 😅

My fibro affects my hands and feet a lot, not sure if this is because of undiagnosed Small fiber Peripheral neuropathy as 43%-50% of fibro patients test positive for SFPN. Some days I develop a limp due to pressure on feet/heels, but then it moves to my other foot n I start limping on other foot. I would like to c a video where u talk specifically about how ur fibro pain manifests, feels, moves around, affects ur feet and walking. The comments would be a great place for subs to describe and better understand the pains of fibro. Foot pain is a less often seen symptom of fibro although its my most debilitating symptom. I wonder if my foot and hand pain is sfpn that's going undiagnosed becouse of a lack of understanding and the possibility of it just being my fibro. Have u had a skin biopsy to rule out SFPN? I only ask becouse I'm having difficulty getting sent for this test as I live in Scotland which is a bit behind on fibromyalgia.

That's a good idea for a video, thank you! I have never heard of SFPN, so I haven't been tested for it but I don't have hand and feet pain that worries me. I have it sometimes, but it's not my most common pain by any means. We are behind on fibromyalgia too here, sadly. I hope you can find a doctor who will help you soon :)

Normally when I feel that way is in a fibro flare or before or after a flare Or when I'm just tired beyond belief too tired to be bothered too tired to care so for me normally it's all in the cycle of my illness I have in the past had a few bouts of depression and I it didn't feel the same simular though I had cbt when I was diagnosed I found it very helpful So strange I just brought two new pairs of pj's two sizes to big now I know why I got them ☺ Also when I do feel like that I acknowledge the feeling and know it will pass it helps me to notice the good I find with life in general not being super exciting the down time reminds me of how good the good is (everything on a totally different scale with chronic illness) I just can't explain tired. Com but I'm sure you will get what I mean 😂

I do get what you mean! hehe Yeah, I do the same - I let myself feel what I'm feeling but then try to move away from that, and not dwell in it. I think it helps. Mine don't seem to be in connection to flares, but are sometimes. Funny how it's so different for all of us.
