very nice, But have you tried to perform first Femoral nerve block, Then redirect your needle to the FIC. would this give you a superior result

From personal experience, I think the femoral nerve block is good only for those fractures of the femoral shaft. If the fracture is in the femoral neck(hip fracture) , you will need a higher block. The incision is made just below the ASIS, blocking the lateral femoral cutaneous will not help.
