Fichet 787z indoor cylinder pick and gut

I believe this is the first video ever published that documents picking the Fichet 787z indoor cylinder. This is an amazing lock and im very happy to be able to make this video. My eventual goal is to pick the outdoor cylinder with the blocking mechanism. The blocking mechanism binds the cogs in place before they touch the sidebar and that is what really makes the 787z so impressive in my opinion. My old apartment had this lock. The part that is sticking out around 4-5cm was on the indoor side - the outdoor side of the lock had the shutter, and an elevated ring around it, a bit like a donut.

I've seen some pictures were the out-side cylinder had a ring around it and some that didn't. I think they might have started installing those after John Falle invented a tool for decoding these locks that clamped on to the part that sticks out.

@@caffeinepicking2390 This is right! Falle's tool was huge and made you clamp grub screw onto the lock,lol. I have seen some tools for this lock before but never a 'normal' pick.

The outdoor cylinder doesn't stick out and has an additional protection over it that is not connected to the lock but to the door with an additional blocking mechanism (separate from the 787z) if you damage it ;) Source: I have this lock on my apartment door.

A superglue attack would really screw things up, that's some intricate mechanism. Alas more to go wrong too.

There is no blocker on the interior cylinder. Just the exterior.
