FICUS AUDREY repotting and care guide!

My Ficus Audrey (Ficus Benghalensis) has been extremely easy to care for so far! I may even like it better than my Altissima. Does anyone else have plant favorites?
I may also get some Ficus Audrey seeds because I've seen them for sale in a number of places and I didn't realize their scientific name was Ficus Benghalensis. Oops.

Beautiful tree Haniya!I love big leaf trees, they are so cool to watch unfurl. I add a couple tablespoons of mosquito bits to the soil, It won't kill the fuungus gnats but it will kill the larvae, it really does help control them. Thanks for the vid! Lyn

oh good to hear! there's a lot of ways to deal with gnats, but I so far have had no issues after doing this with my audrey :)

These plants like to be root bound. If you see some large tree-like audreys are in tiny pots.

I noticed a cat in the background. I read somewhere that this plant is very unhealthy for cats. Do you segregate your plants and pets? Second question. I recently bought one a little bigger than yours and it seems to have two main stems. I won't be repotting for awhile but can I seperate them to get two plants?

hm, they’ve never bothered this ficus, so I’m not sure; the Humane Society might have info. And yes, you should be able to split. You mean it’s still one plant with two branches, right? You can cut the offshoots and propagate those

Hi! I accidentally dropped something on my audrey and broke the top stem. It sprouted a new chute but it’s growing lopsided! I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to straighten it? Should I try grafting?

Hm! my questions are how big is it? how many leaves does it have? you could try waiting a bit and chopping off the new chute and starting a new plant, and then just taming it to grow up. I think grafting (if I'm not mistaken) is if you want it to look more tree-like with a bunch of branches and not straight up and down

@@HaniyaRae It's pretty big, not too massive but it has a decent amount of leaves besides the crooked stem. I was thinking about chopping off the chute, but I was told it would grow back crooked regardless. Is it possible to propogate it if I were to do this?

@@HaniyaRae Some leaves are curled up while others are curled down. I am very confused as well.
