I have used these three plus TIAA-CREF and Edward Jones -- Schwab is by far the best.

For IRAs in 2024, it's a relative tie. For taxable brokerage: Fidelity > Vanguard > Schwab. I give Vanguard a slight edge due to fractional shares for ETFs since they are safer than fractional shares of individual stocks.

Hey man, i appreciate the content you share! I'm considering opening a Roth IRA but find the options a bit overwhelming. Is it better to just stick with one account, or can you open multiple Roth IRAs? Also, a video on retirement strategies with Roth IRAs for those 40 and over would be incredibly helpful. So Danny if I have a Roth IRA on fidelity and the contribution on that is 7000 does that also apply on vanguard or CS? I have 3 accounts do I have to keep my contribution to 7000 limit? Is that makes sense

Great question! The contribution limit is for all accounts. It is a combined total among all 3 if you have 3 accounts.

When deciding between ETFs like Vanguard S&P 500 and SPDR S&P 500 or Vanguard FTSE All-World and Invesco FTSE All-World, should you opt for the one with the lower AER, or is it better to choose based on a longer track record and larger fund size?

That's a great question as all of them are very similar. Above all, when comparing index funds, unless the expense ratio is significantly different or they don't track the same indexes, I prefer to view the long term track record. And at least for me, once I have my mind made up, I prefer to stick with the one to invest in over time. For example, VOO expense ratio is .03% but SPY is .0945%. Returns are actually better for VOO but in many cases they could be similar. If returns are super close it's not a huge deal, but because of the examples expense ratio difference, i'd prefer VOO over SPY. Hope this helps! Not a financial advisor lol.

Help Hey I just deposited 10k in my fidelity acct. I am planning to invest in s&p 500 and collect dividend. The question is Should I just go ahead and buy the stocks or should I wait for the price to come down and buy?

Hey this is a great question! It's a personal decision, but especially with index funds, its simplest to just get started asap. As you have no idea what will happen in the future, the best thing is to start because the worst thing is to keep waiting. I hope this makes sense! Personally, I would start and continue to add over time which will reduce volatility for your portfolio even if markets explode. Thanks for watching my content :)

@@DannySully I opened a brokerage account on fidelity and started investing on fidelity mutual funds. Was this a wrong move? I know that in an roth IRA you dont pay taxes but you have to wait until your 60 years to withdraw your money

Hey, completely understand if you want a brokerage account over Roth right now, that's a personal decision. In regards to investments, especially in taxable accounts, I highly recommend ETFs over Mutual Funds. I personally avoid all mutual funds unless it's in a tax advantaged account where i don't have to pay the taxes. Based on your input, Hope this helps you out :)

Your mic setup needs to be fixed, it sounds hollow and congested. If you’re using multiple mics or a stereo mic, try switching to one mic or to mono. You may need to try swapping the phase on the 2nd channel for multiple channels to sound correct.

@@DannySully Some form of noise cancelation messing with it then maybe? Audio quality does seem to differ between videos, however as a good example, the “how to start a dividend portfolio with $1000” video has pretty decent audio by comparison to some others

Hey, I actually discussed with my editor on this video and we had miscommunication in regards to the audio effects. We have fixed this now so hopefully the new upcoming videos are better? Thank you for making me aware of this!
