I'm not her but maybe 1)one of those soothing tangles that have different textures with some squishy prices 2)maybe get her tested for ocd 3)ask a therapist or doctor what they think. Hope this helps a bit! Xoxo

The tangle relax DNA therapy is one of my favorite tangles - I like squishing it, and I also like that the rubbery outside makes it quieter than regular plastic tangles, which can get clicky (at least when I use them the way I prefer to fidget with tangles). The rubbery outside also makes it less slippery which is really handy for one-handed fidgeting. Mine is all yellowy at this point because I bring it with me everywhere, which is the main downside. Another one of my favorites is the tangle hairy! Not to be confused with the fuzzy tangle, it's basically covered in mini puffer ball material (so, covered in soft rubbery strings). I love it because it's super squishy (more so than the relax) and I love pulling at the strings and even just holding the tangle and shaking my hands and feeling the strings shake. It is, however, visually one of the least subtle tangles - it's thick because of the strings, and very colorful.
@lilyruston32847 жыл бұрын
Hi! I was at the hospital and my doctor said try pulling out the fibres of paintbrushes. Not the cheap plastic ones but the proper artist ones that feel like hair I wonder if it would work for you? I'm a massive fan by the way. You inspire me loads♡

One of my favorite fidgets is a plastic telephone cord hair tie. I got these small mini ones from an art store once and they are not too obvious. Well at least I think so. Also I have been allowed to have them pretty much everywhere. My favorite fidgets are the ones not really labeled as fidgets. Just saying this in case it might help someone to know there are other 'common objects' that you can use as well.

I'm a guy with trich, I pick my beard hair exclusively so far, trich only surfaced after having GAD/depression for a long time. I advise other guys with the same problem to get eye-shadow in the colour of your beard, it is shockingly effective for disguising patches. I’ve always wanted to try toys and things like this but I’m too afraid to ask (for some odd reason) I have anxiety and I might have autism and depression (as I’ve been told by professionals) I also have bad habits of chewing on the sides of my mouth and chewing on my hair and other things, I’ve done it for years now . (It might be a stim I’m not sure) I want more distractions from my selfharm & Fidel things with my hands to distract me and stop the urge. One of my big things is touch. I love touch and textures. I have been for years. I wish I had more and to calm me and use it as a form of relaxation or to stop me being anxious. I also use grounding to stop my anxiety especially around others. One of the things to do in grounding is touch. Touching can help to stop you for focusing on yourself and anxiety. I have a fight spinner and I used to have some squishy thing. It broke though :( ❤️💜💓💗

I had one of those light pink, green and blue tangles from when I was about 5 and I had been using it right up to year 9. Then I let my brother borrow it for his first day of year 7, thinking I was being nice. He then came home and told me he sold it for £4 and a football. I almost punched him when he said that because I'd had it for such a long time and I need it for school, but I controlled myself and made him buy me a new one. Unfortunately I've never been able to find the exact same tangle that I had from when I was young.

I don't know if you've ever mentioned it in a video, but a company called Habitaware recently came out with these bracelets that you can train to vibrate every time you do certain movements with your hands, like lifting your hand to your hair for example, picking your skin or biting your nails. Such an amazing idea, and super helpful if you're mostly a subconscious puller like me coz they help you become more aware of when you're pulling so you can consciously stop yourself! www.habitaware.com/
