Mercury 5 hp...For the first two hours of operation, you need to run the motor at varied throttle settings up to 4500 rpm. For the next eight hours, you can run the motor in standard fashion but never for longer than five minutes at wide-open throttle.

I love those little plastic boats...got a pelican intruder 12 with a 6hp tohatsu i catfish out of and it does just fine. Gotta get me one of those sweet bimini tops though😂

By myself, the 5hp Mercury moved me 10-11 mph with hardly any gear, 8-9 mph with gear. With another passenger and gear or without 5-6 mph
