What I carry in my pockets of my field jacket. These are back up to my haversack or main backpack when hiking or bushcrafting.

Best place to store gloves, year round, is in coat pockets. At least one pair per coat is my motto. Heavy winter coats often have 2 pair, 1 lightweight, as you showed. Thanks for sharing.

What a great, yet simple, idea. I tend to wear the same jacket most of the time when I'm wandering around in the woods so why not fill the pockets with some useful items?

I sometimes forget I have a jacket that has pockets ..LOl. I need to set them up. Maybe Ill be able to lighten my load by doing this. BTW the whistle is often a forgotten very important piece of survival equipment. Another great video... I say no more ...just happy to listen to your advise . Thumbs up

Good Video, Good Kit! Couple of things. I am assuming that the Jacket has a Hood built into the Collar, but I'd still toss in a Fleece Beanie Cap into the empty pocket. Also your Flashlight (Streamlight Micro Stream) can be used as a Headlight IF you have a Hat with a Brim on. The Pocket Clip is designed that way. Oh, and since it is Winter (19F as I write this), I'd shove a couple of FREEZER bags in with the Bandana for your Water Storage. Much Tougher! Hope this helps, Take Care.

good items there, I have a old Canadian military jacket I use in the warmer months that I carry most of what you have shown and then transfer to my winter jacket (not military) after...the extra gloves and a knife I never thought of, I do carry my leatherman and a small flashlight on my belt as EDC, thanks

Mate, great job. a small Snack Pouch with glucose tablets, jerky, energy chocolate, salt, sugar & Brew gear. what tinder do you use with your lighter? (I have just started to carry 1" x 2" pieces of inner tube; a little smelly but very effective with a lighter or matches.) your jacket is how I set my cimbat jacket up in the military.
