I'll admit, I severely underestimated the differences that field mods granted. Recently, I've been questioning which mods I should use based on my playstyle (Tier 10 mediums in specific). This video was a tremendous help and I appreciate the work you put into it. Keep it up!

very interesting on the track stats,never thought about that also I always choose any field mod that reduce my HP so everyone will have a bad time to mark their tanks

Great vid, lots of screenshots taken so I can check my mods :) A good spg on your team is a massive bonus, a good spg on the enemy team is an absolute nightmare.

Referring to the first field mod topic on heavy tanks: doesn't ground resistences also decrease the time it takes to reach max speed? Also remember that the max speed values are only for flat terrain, so even if max speed values are the same for soft/medium it can differ depending on the terrain

Yes, but in testing it made no difference at all. It was just as fast as using the left field mod as it was with the right as long as the top speeds are the same.

@13:50 - Gotta say, I'd still choose the Reinforced Joints here, coz it also applies to ramming damage recieved, and even though ramming isn't a tactic I would employ often, opponent tanks charging one's assualt tank is a frequent occurance. @25:30 - I don't play SPG much either, but I'm told Engine is the way to go, so I go with that.

As someone who played during Beta and all the way up until 2016/17 before quitting and coming back Dec of 2021, the field mods for me were VERY confusing at first to get used to and understand which was what. This really does help, even for me, to understand WHY to go with certain modifications. Thanks! Also, I did notice you missed the Versatile Tank Destroyer Role and figured I'd throw it in here! My Object 268 has: Tier 7: - Matte Paints: (+5% Concealment and -2 km/h Reverse Speed) or - Additional Reverse Gear: (+2 km/h Reverse Speed and -5% Concealment) Tier 8: - Overhead Camshaft Engine: (+4km/h Top Forward speed and +2% Reload Speed) or - Improved Gun Rammer: (+2% Reload Speed and -4km/h Top Forward Speed)

I knew I would have missed a few things, it appears the 268 is the only versatile TD... or at least one of the only ones at tier 10. Tier 7: Probably the concealment or leave it as nothing. Depends if you really want the reverse speed. Tier 8: Very situational. For the 268 probably take the reload time since top speed isn't that needed.

@@MaxGamingFPS figures I would have the only Versatile at T10 lol. I have had the OG Object 268 since day 1 when T10 TDs were introduced. Cool, that's what I was thinking for tier 7, current camo with that mod is around 37%. For Tier 8 it is kinda hard as reload and top speed are nice to have with the 268. Thanks again!

Hi there. Firstly just want to start off by saying I recently discovered your channel and up to date pretty much been watching every video you have posted the past year. Thank you for your great contribution to the game. I certainly feel your pain when certain rounds just don't hit when they are supposed to. The channel has greatly improved my gameplay, for which I'm ever grateful. I have noticed in alot of your grinding series you seem to swap to HE rounds for certain tanks and this picqued my curiosity as I've always known my HE rounds to only be a last ditch effort when I cant pen. Would you perhaps consider making a video like this one outlining which/when/where HE rounds are going to be beneificial in damage? Regards

It’s hard to make a video on it, since you just need to know the tanks and what can and can’t be penned by your HE rounds depending how much pen the tank has.

I've watched a half dozen videos on field mods...not one person explained how much XP is needed to unlock. I'm assuming tier 10 would be more than tier 9,8,7,6 etc. A complete breakdown of the XP would be helpful

for heavy best to use only these 3 more important field mod if u wanna save credit : mod IV,VII and VIII,those are the 3 u wanna go for as other pretty much useless unless u got some cred to spare

haven’t really played heavies before, thanks for the tips. i think the Strv 103 should leave the reload or aim circle empty

It's actually better to go for the -reload time. Since when you are in siege mode the tank is already super accurate.

I really don't think you need the left hand field mod for number II on the Jagdpanzer E 100, because the track health is already healthy enough without needing improved hardening.. and the biggest weakness of this tank is the traverse speed.

Wow Max, helping spg,s , I never thought I would see the day, ha ha ha , I often play this class due to the daily missions, it’s easier to cause a lot of critical hits or damage lots of tanks to do the missions quickly 👍😂😂😂

If you're a new player that is grinding their way to tier x should they take field mods or skip it ?

Hi i have tog 2 opened all field modifications but i press brfore battle and after battle icons are disabled and enabled but not i cant change both like sheels and first kit and cant also change the gun rammer and others equipment only i can change 1 thing with ctrl +1 or ctrl +2 not both how can i fix that 😢 shall i destroy field modifications,?

How do you know the critical value for track health against a certain calibre gun? Is that info available somewhere

You can check tanks.gg but I also went into a training room and tested it all.

@@MaxGamingFPS For most 120mm guns the module damage are 165. From the video I guess a 120 mm gun can deal 363
